GIVEN ONE STAGE BUT SURGICAL STAGE IS DIFFERENT?>
HELLO ALL, I AM NEW HERE. I WAS RECENTLY DIAGNOSED WITH STAGE 1A ENDOMETRIAL ADENOCARCINOMA AND MY HYSTERECTOMY IS SCHEDULED FOR NEXT MONTH. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE WAS GIVING A STAGE INITALLY AND THEN GIVEN A DIFFERENT STAGE AFTER THE SURGICAL PATHOLOGY CAME BACK. MY ONCOLOGIST DID MENTION I COULD BE STAGE 2 DUE TO…

Need Suggestions
Hey ladies! I'm struggling with 2 things. I will address them both,, so let's get the easiest one out of the way. First, my tumor was not estrogen or progesterone dependant, and I am currently using the Estrodial patch. When I forgot to change it in a timely manner, the hot flashes were annoying but the mood swings were…

Love yourself first.
With so many new, and not as many old people on this board, I am writing to say live life, be as happy as you can, and allow yourself to be sad, but not despondent. With the latest celebrity suicides in the news, some people in my community are lamenting over the loss of these people. I understand depression is real,…

What has been your experience with hair loss?
I am on day 13 after my first taxol/carbo chemo and I have not lost any of my hair yet. All I have noticed so far is that my underarm hair growth has slowed down, and I have slight soreness in specific areas of my head. What has your experience with hair loss been? When did it occur, was it fast/gradual, etc? Thanks!

Port Removed today - initially inserted in Nov. 2016
Hi Ladies: Just an update on my cancer port. I had it removed today in a short procedure at my hospital (Crozer) in Delaware County, PA. The procedure lasted about 15 minutes to a half an hour. It ws medically glued in from the removal of the port. My blood level has remained normal since May of 2017, but my oncologist…

Foliculitis?
Hi, ladies - Three days after my second cycle of taxol/carbo I developed an itchy, awful-looking rash over my entire skull. My hair is largely gone and the rash is both in places where it's totally gone and in places where there's a little left. It looks like the worst case of acne you've ever seen, with pustules and red…

Slightly elevated CA 125
Yup. Happened to me this time after months of it going down sharply. To be fair, it went up only six points ... 11 to 17. But I now know the panic so many ovarian and endometrial ladies feel when they see this. And I know it's usually watch and wait. It turned out I had a very-slightly-inflamed appendix in the last CT…

Stranding
Well, I got my first CT scan after the surgery. Good news ... the main organs seem either stable or fine. That's actually great news. My appendix is very slightly inflamed, but there is no evidence of anything concerning other than the inflamation, and other things can cause this that aren't cancer-related. That will be a…

Post Menopausal Bleeding, 2 month wait for GYN referral
Hi all, I have been >10 years without a period due to Mirena IUD. After it was removed more than a year ago, she ran hormone levels that showed I was firmly post menopausal. In early March, I had a heavy "period". I told my primary care doctor this on Monday. She said that postmenopausal bleeding can be a symptom of…

Vaginal Atrophy or something worse? Advice needed.
Hi ladies, I had endometrial cancer which was diagnosed in Dec. 2010. I had a complete hysterectomy in Feb. 2011. I was fortunate that it was caught early and after surgery, I didn't require any follow-up treatments other than seeing my Gynecologic Oncolgist twice a year for a pelvic exam and a vault smear. What brings me…

Seven months post radiation, two weeks post 5th chemo, I developed a thick, yellow/green, mucousy discharge, no odor, very gross. Saw three docs, three tests, no pathogens. Had a PET, all negative. So what is it? They all say its the treatments, but cannot say how long it will last, what to do, or whats in it. Anyone else…

A good format would be: 1) Type of Uterine Cancer 2) Stage,…

Metformin Info.
I had a follow-up at my GYN/onc.'s office on Monday. I didn't get to see the doctor but was seen by his nurse practitioner. I had decided to ask what the minimum dose of Metformin should be to help prevent a recurrence of my uterine cancer, as I'm only on 500 mg. a day and have read that some people on here are taking a…

Mona Lisa Touch laser
My radiation oncologist's office has 'MonaLisa touch' laser for vaginal restoration; not something I would normally notice but, given how thinned out everything has become post-treatment, it caught my eye. I did a search of the entire ACS website and didn't find anyone who'd used it so am posting here. Below is a comment…

external rads and returning to normal diet
OK, it has now been 5 weeks since my last of 25 external rads. I was taking 4-6 Imodium a day for about 4 weeks in the last 2 weeks of rads and then for the next 2 weeks. I began a probiotic 3 weeks ago and it has helped and now I may go 3 days w/o Imodium but then something happens. I have had such a bland diet for so…
