Scared and Unsure
I really need to figure out how to proceed. I have Stage IV Grade 3 with serous and clear cell adenocarcinoma. It was in my uterus, cervix, vagina, and wrapped around my bladder with muscle invasion. I just finished frontline treatment....6 carbo/taxol with full abdominal radiation and 3 brachy treatments. When I was first…

Having my hysterectomy on Tuesday
it has now been over two months since I was diagnosed. After tests on my pancreas and colon (long story) which all proved to be benign, i am now ready for the surgery. I was so scared at first, now, I have left this in the hands of God or fate. I am no longer afraid and will take this one step at a time. Tuesday it is. one…

Cramping a lot here lately.
I am not going on 2.5 years since diagnosed with Recurrance Uterine cancer. Done the Carbo/Taxol, 35 days of Radiation (2x a day), Letrozole (didnt work), Doxil (left burns on my body) and currently on Avastin (which I have been told will not continue to work). I had the discussion of where we go from here last week with…

Avastin only for maintenance?
I have consulted this board since December 2010 when diagnosed with MMMT. I've seen topics on Avastin along with another chemo for treatment but not much on Avastin alone for maintenance. Are any of you on such a routine? I just completed my 11th infusion yesterday and the onc said it's difficult how long to keep me on it.…

I know too much!

I don't see my gyn/onc until June 22nd however I have had access to my pathology report since June 8th. I am a nurse so I understand what my pathology…

Breathing issues
Funny. I just read Northwoodsgirl’s post and maybe it has something to do with my question. Has anyone had breathing issues through their chemo. I’m talking about just going upstairs or a slight incline or a larger meal and having to take long breaths for at least 5 minutes to get back on track. It started at the first…

distinguishing secondary from primary cancer?
My Mom had multiple nodules in her lungs right from the outset of her endometrial cancer. At first they thought they weren't related, but they grew and become more numerous, although they were always too small to biopsy. after tworounds of chemo and radiation for her original uterine cancer she decided to try a third much…

Should I be worried?
I had vaginal ultrasound at my gynecologist to check on my uterine fibroids. I didn't get to see doctor only teaching assistant. But she informed me my really large fibroid had gotten bigger and I had multiple new smaller ones and was to come back in 2 months for my pap and check up. Very next morning I received phone call…

Throwing out some good news~
Looks like I've got another 6-month reprieve, after receiving good news last week from my oncologist at my 6-month checkup. My CA125 which is a very reliable marker for me, still very consistent since completion of treatments 3 years ago (2009) ---- 5. Had a few what I thought were "symptoms" which went away a few days…

Harmony09/Stacey: How are you doing?
Hi Stacey, I was struck several days ago by two of your posts that revealed the physical discomfort you were in and the stress you are dealing with. I noticed you responded recently to another lady on a different topic so I think you are visiting this site. I just wanted to reach out and express my hope that your…

Casein in milk and protein in general and cancer from the Huffington Post
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/kathy-freston/a-cure-for-cancer-eating_b_298282.html I hope that some of you take the time to read this article and at least think about what it has to say. The more info in the greater one has to work with in making decisions. Personally, I don't know if it's a cure for cancer, but if proper…

Treatment when you are over 65.
I hope this message posts; my first attempt was blocked because it appeared to censors to be Spam. I'd be interested in hearing from senior citizen sisters who've gone through treatment covered by either Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans. I turn 65 early in 2019 and can make my application for benefits in November 2018.…

Need Suggestions
Hey ladies! I'm struggling with 2 things. I will address them both,, so let's get the easiest one out of the way. First, my tumor was not estrogen or progesterone dependant, and I am currently using the Estrodial patch. When I forgot to change it in a timely manner, the hot flashes were annoying but the mood swings were…

Love yourself first.
With so many new, and not as many old people on this board, I am writing to say live life, be as happy as you can, and allow yourself to be sad, but not despondent. With the latest celebrity suicides in the news, some people in my community are lamenting over the loss of these people. I understand depression is real,…

What has been your experience with hair loss?
I am on day 13 after my first taxol/carbo chemo and I have not lost any of my hair yet. All I have noticed so far is that my underarm hair growth has slowed down, and I have slight soreness in specific areas of my head. What has your experience with hair loss been? When did it occur, was it fast/gradual, etc? Thanks!

Foliculitis?
Hi, ladies - Three days after my second cycle of taxol/carbo I developed an itchy, awful-looking rash over my entire skull. My hair is largely gone and the rash is both in places where it's totally gone and in places where there's a little left. It looks like the worst case of acne you've ever seen, with pustules and red…

Slightly elevated CA 125
Yup. Happened to me this time after months of it going down sharply. To be fair, it went up only six points ... 11 to 17. But I now know the panic so many ovarian and endometrial ladies feel when they see this. And I know it's usually watch and wait. It turned out I had a very-slightly-inflamed appendix in the last CT…

Stranding
Well, I got my first CT scan after the surgery. Good news ... the main organs seem either stable or fine. That's actually great news. My appendix is very slightly inflamed, but there is no evidence of anything concerning other than the inflamation, and other things can cause this that aren't cancer-related. That will be a…
