My wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 7/2000 and a complete hysterectomy with 16 lymph node removal was performed. Since cancer showed in 2 nodes, she was treated with taxol+carboplatin and was free for 18 months. The cancer came back in both lungs. Settlement patients used TAXOL
Cancer patients who took chemotherapy drugs Taxol or Onxol in the past four years may be eligible for a reimbursement from Bristol-Meyers Squibb. The attorneys general filed an antitrust lawsuit against the drug maker, accusing it of using fraudulent means to delay the entry of lower-priced generic versions of Taxol to…

CA-125 Levels-Good/Bad?
In Aug. 2002 I was admitted to the hospital with a pumonary embolism caused by deep vein thrombosis, which I now understand was most likely symptomatic of the cancers that were discovered when I had a biopsy at the hospital (uterine Stage 1B) and the ovarian (Stage 1C) that was uncovered in the subsequent hysterectomy.…

Primary Peritoneal Cancer
I was recently diagnosed with this type of cancer in October 2002. I have been told that it is a form of ovarian cancer. I can not find much information about this cancer. I am being treated the same way as ovarian cancer is treated. Can anyone tell me more about this cancer? I had a full hysterectomy in October 2002…

Doxil
My mother had 8 rounds of carbo/taxol which led to six months of remission.. Well, it's back and she's now on Doxil. However, she didn't respond to the first round.. Her CA125 hasn't dropped. She had a second round of it a few days ago. Has anyone else experienced this?

Sexual Problems after Surgery?
I was wondering if anyone has experienced sexual changes since their hysterectomy/chemo treatments? Don't get me wrong-I'm thrilled to be alive and doing well at this time but I miss that part of me that existed before all this! Port removal
My friend had ovarian 3a. She is 10 months out of chemo, and looking good. her ca125 has been 8-10 for 8 months. it dropped immediately when chemo started. She would like her port removed. the doc wants to keep it in. this is demoralizing/ or are we being unrealistic? What have others had done?
