Cancer patients who took chemotherapy drugs Taxol or Onxol in the past four years may be eligible for a reimbursement from Bristol-Meyers Squibb.

The attorneys general filed an antitrust lawsuit against the drug maker,accusing it of using fraudulent means to delay the entry of lower-priced generic versions of Taxol to illegally inflate the cost of chemotherapy for thousands of patients.

Patients who can file a claim include members of the proposed settlement group and those who paid for part or all of their treatments with Taxol or its generic equivalents from Jan. 1, 1999 to Feb. 28, 2003.

Individual consumers could see claims between $400 and $2,600. Claims must be postmarked by Nov. 14.
