Bottled water and floride
Dear Jim and all, Jim, I was lucky to find this information right away. I am pasting 2 paragraphs I found online. It seems Poland Spring has the smallest amount of floride, and yes i was correct. If the bottle is labeled "reverse osmosis filtered" or "steam distilled" that very little if any of the original source water's…

Today I was at a Town Hall meeting held locally by the LRF. They had 5 doctors from major hospitals in the Chgo area, who specialize in the blood cancers. (One of them is the Dr I am seeing at Rush.) The Town Hall was people asking questions and the doctors answering them. There were some vendors there to povide…

Hi, All! This post is just to add to the posts here from those anticipating stem cell transplants or who already received their transplants. After 6 rounds of RCHOP failed to put my dad's lymphoma into remission (although it certainly looked like it was going to) he went right on to RICE and prep for a stem cell…

DLCBL partial response to RCHOP.
My dad had indolent SMZL that later transformed into an aggressive form. After 6 rounds of RCHOP, we were hopeful for full remission. Unfortunately, his recent pet scan showed what I believe is only a partial response. I'm heart broken. I think it's on to a SCT. Are there any success stories out there anyone can offer?

Shouldn't the ENT be doing blood tests and other differentials before going right to a lymph node re
After a pet scan showed obvious multi layer swelling of nodes (1.5 to 1.9cm) one one side of my neck and a few in my abdomen, they are saying lymphoma. THE initial biopsy via FNA (fine needle aspiration) came back inclunclusive or at least that said the cells were atypical. So now I'm scheduled to see my ENT oncologist and…

Update on DLBCL treatments
My husband finished six rounds of R-CHOP and four rounds of Methotrexate, administered in the spine, in late November. He started 17 sessions of radiation on December 14th and is faithfully using Aquaphor to prevent burn. It is really greasy, and he has to make sure he gets it all off in the shower before treatment, but it…

Adoptive T Cell Therapy
I just learned about this today. The way these articles talk, this is going to be all the rage in the world of refractory/relapsed lymphoma. Has anyone ever heard of re-engineered T-cell therapy and, if so, what have you heard about it? http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/830742

Update on DLBCL
Hey, All! My dad just finished a round of R-CHOP with hopes that he would be in remission. Unfortunately, yesterday's scan revealed that he's not. Once they've verified that the cancer is back/still here, the plan is fro R-ICE + ASCT. Does anyone have any successful experience with this? We are heartbroken.
