Curious
Hi, I wonder if it is really necessary for a doctor to make the decision on how long a cancer patient is going to live. I was told I had 70% chance of recovery and had about 12 months to live. I would like to know why doctors think they are God. As far as I am concerned only God knows when he will take me. Any comments??

My daddy died on labor day!
I would like to share this poem with you all. I feel like this is how my daddy would feel or what he would say. I'm Free Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to…

Wow....any advice please! My dad just diagnosed. Found in brain but started as lung.
He has his first radiation consult tomorrow. He will have 10 treatments and then follow up scans and MRI's. I don't even know where to start. We've known about this for 11 days. They could not biopsy the place on his lung as it was too close to the heart. So he had brain surgery and they removed the biggest one, which was…

LUNG CANCER METASTASIZED TO LYMPH NODE
Feb 8th, on a routine ct scan, I was diagnosed with a tumor in upper left lobe of lung which has metastasized to a lymph mode in the chest. It was too risky to finish the bronscopy because the tumor is too close to an artery. Needle biopsy was also ruled out for that same reason. I was finally able to have biopsy in the…

why no radiation treatments?
Like many of you with stage 4 nsclc, I have started chemo (4 treatments so far), but the Dr. said he would not do radiation because the amount of radiation he would have to do would be enough to kill me, but I see so many other people with stage 4 lung cancer and most of them seem to be getting some radiation treatment,…
