I've been looking at some past postings. Anyone out there who have tried alternative treatments besides 2bhealed? and has anyone read up on the books she has suggested? This seems to have worked for her and has anyone ever heard of Col. Joe? He has a book out with a dietary plan for cancer. Let me know or send me an email.…

Family
Hi all. I just called my sister and told her that they found a tumor in my lung, but biopsy needs to come back from lab before we know the next step. OK... after saying how sorry she was to hear that, the next thing she said to me was "Well, since you already have cancer in your system it's likely going to be cancer" I…

Obituary/Eulogy
I've been working on my obituary and eulogy; this is not a dark process at all; often I've been called upon to give a eulogy, and felt inadequate because I really didn't know anything about that person or how they lived and thought.. once I have something written, I can tweak it and refine it until it's a really informing…

infected incision...
surgery was 3 weeks ago today. 10 days after surgery I ended up in the ER w/an infection in the upper part of my incision (incision was from pubic bone to just below belly button). ER doc cleaned it up (after removing most of my staples) stuffed me w/gauze and sent me home. "This happens in 10% of all colorectal surgeries"…

Thoughts......
Hi to my dear friends. This is going to be long, because I need it to be. Some of you know, but most probably don't. I am Stage IV, dxed Feb. 2004 (mets to the liver and left lung). I did the chemo route for 8 months but after 4 months of a "plateau", I chose to try alternative methods of wellness and healing. I choose to…

Hi, I'm new!
Hi everybody! I just joined the site yesterday and wanted to sell hello to all. I'm 23 and was diagnosed with rectal cancer in November 04, at 22 years old. I've had pre-op chemo (FOLFOX + erbitux) and surgery on March 16. Surgery went well and I am recovering nicely. Sadly though, they found that the tumor broke the bowel…

CT today -- usual nerves
Hi all. I'm going in for my 2-yr post surgery CT scan today. I was feeling OK about it but last night had a little break down (tears, didn't want to take the prep pills - my husband had to treat me like a 2 year old to take them!). It is just such a stressful thing....(not to mention not pleasant). I keep trying to send…

Thank You
I just wanted to take a moment to thank all the caregivers out there. After reading so many posts from loving, caring family members trying to learn about their loved ones disease, I started to reflect on my own battle this past year. Both of my sisters flew in from Colorado and Mass. to New York to be with me during my…

Need advice
Hi all It's been a long time since I have posted. My husband has been on Erbitux for about a year and it has kept his lung mets from growing for quite awhile. God... give me strength
Some days are just tough for me to get through. I am trying hard to stay strong and positive, but lately I'm living in fear. Fear that the cancer has spread to my lungs...fear that I won't make it. The last few days I can't sleep on my right side. The left side of my head hurts. Especially by my ear and jaw. My teeth ache.…

Is this something that we semi-colons should be…
