Hey! Remember me?
I posted awhile ago about a lump I had an ultrasound on, and it came up as suspicious, but was having a hysterectomy August 1st...so it all went on hold. Well.....I had a bilateral mammogram and another ultrasound last Wednesday, and the radiologist believes it is now just a fibroadenoma. I am 37, so this makes me a little…

My selfish husband
Hi, I have stage four breast cancer and am waiting to hear about a new brain tumor. My husband has stayed with me for 6 years thru this ordeal. Tonight he made me so mad! He said he is worried that when I die his life will be HORRIBLE and he will have no life. I asked him what he meant and he said he wouldn't have my…

Moving along at a snail's pace!
Well, I'm 4 weeks post-op mastectomy and had 3 doctors' appointments this past week. Surgeon said it's going slowly because of the previous rads. The skin around the incision is dark red and very, very tight. I have swelling under the arm on the trunk--probably post-op and lymphedema combo. I had my Faslodex/Zometa…

I just found out today my best friend has an "invasive ductile carcinoma" of the breast. The biopsy on the lymph node that looked suspicious is negative. The tumour is about the size of an almond. I have been dreading having to come here. I am a colorectal cancer survivor being tested for possible cancer in a lesion behind…

Tamoxifen and Antidepressants
There are certain antidepressants that are not supposed to be taken with tamoxifen. Here is a list of what they are if you are interested. Paxil, Prozac and Wellbutrin are the ones to avoid if you are on tamoxifen. Always talk to your doctor if you have questions or are on tamox and any of those 3. Choosing among…

getting dizzy from roller coaster ride
The MO seems to be on the same page as the thoracic surgeon. We are going to get another scan in November and take it from there. She said if this is cancer in my lungs she will do nothing different. Meaning continue Arimidex. She said if this is cancer then this drug is keeping the nodules at bay. As for the new growth on…

Looking for support
My mom was just diagnosed with breast cancer. This is very new for all of us considering there is no family history of breast cancer. I do not know what is going to happen. She is facing having to remove both breasts. She goes to the surgeon tomorrow to discuss her options. I am just looking for support from people who…

So - how was your Holiday weekend?
Unfortunately ours started out with Hubby being really busy (he's a tow driver) BUT we had Sunday afternoon 'off' and then Monday morn we took Boss's boat to Sheridan Lake. Well - there were so many skiers and 'Ski-Doos' out that the the only thing we caught was a log that stole my new KastMatser. So we left and went to…

Actonel
Anyone on Actonel ? and if so are you experiencing any side effects? With so many side effects I have from the Femara, I just don't think I'd be able to take any more side effects from the Actonel. I have read hundreds of reviews on the medication, and only 1 or 2 were good.

dealing with and finding a support group for local recurrent breast cancer
I have been dealing alone with local recurrent breast cancer for 2 years without any group. In my area of Ct. there are no groups for this type of breast cancer and I was asked to leave the survivor group I was in. Devastating to me. I have tried for 2 years to get the local breast centers and The American Cancer Society…

implants too small, superficial complaint
I know I am lucky, for I have survived one year after diagnosis, gotten thru reconstruction, after expanders, on both sides. Well, they have settled, gravity has pulled them down. I am thin, was an A cup, the surgeon had to remove alot of tissue, and there is next to nothing that remains. It is very bony. I am not pleased…
