Clean report, 21 months post treatment
Great report. Go back for just a DRE in January and then a PET in 6 months. Thyroid is still low, causing much of my fatigue, which is an easy fix. Relieved!

Hello. I'm a 45 year old female, recently diagnosed (Sept 19, 2012) with squamous cell carcinoma, anal cancer. Another CT with contrast on Friday
I saw my Oncologist today. She did not like the sound of my lungs (I have had a horrible cough since August but so do a lot of people). She wants to take a closer look at the lymph node in the lung. I don't know anything about my anatomy but I guess there are lymph nodes in the lung. Anyway, my colonoscopy was great. I…

Pain in leg crease in front where leg joins the torso
I completed treatment for anal cancer in May of 2011. I have chronic radiation colitis but am learning to live with this problem. It does not seem to matter what I eat. My pubic area is still very tender - probably due to radiation burn. Recently, pain has begun in my right leg crease - in the front where the leg joins the…

newly diagnosed and don't want to tell what kind of cancer
I am a gay male and was just diagnosed with anal cancer. I'm scared and worried just like anyone who has been told he/she has cancer. I know I should not be ashamed to say I have anal cancer. For the most part, I don't mind saying it. The problem is telling my family members the type of cancer I have. I come from a small…

Weak Peristalsis after end of treatment
I've gone from having daily diarrhea to very slow peristalsis. Just a little bit comes out every day now, but it's not hard from too much contraction. I think there's just no energy in my body to have bowel movements, and so I'm becoming more and more bloated each day. I'm doing "Gentle Senna" tablets, flax seeds, slippery…
