It's Going To Be Long, Fret-Filled Weekend...keep me in your thoughts please!

It is really hard to be 50' tall sometimes, and this is one of those times~my knees are buckling, making it difficult to stand.

After almost 7 years post dx, and all good labs, mammos, MRI's etc etc...my "affected" breast is hot, a bit swollen, achy and sensitive to the touch , for lack of a better word, I am "aware" of it, if that makes sense. Of course I called my oncologist as soon as the office opened at 8AM; you knew I would do that!

They transferred the call directly to the Surgeon who did such a beautiful job on me way back in 2003. That actually scared the daylights out of me, but as the wonderful scheduler ( who has also been there since I became a patient) said, my surgeon is the Breast Specialist, and that my onco doc would have sent me there anyway~ this way I am going right to her and by-passing the onco doc.

So, my appointment is TUESDAY at 3:45, thus the long, fret-filled weekend.

I know we all have things to do, places to be, and our own frets and worries, along with celebrations, too~ but if you could find a small place for me in your hearts? I would really appreciate the good vibes.

And not jumping the gun, but this morning, my sweet Reggie said, IF IF IF we have to do this again, he will shave his head too. Which may not seem like a big deal to many, but my Native American man has thick, braided hair to the middle of his back~ so yeah, it's a major sacrifice which he is willing to do to show solidarity with me. But let's hope it doesn't come to that....

Anyway~ Tuesday is both a along way off and snapping at my heels at the same time.
