Washington~born and raised. Tacoma, Gig Harbor, and Fircrest. Love how green our state is. And yes, I love the rain. The sunny days are appreciated when they do "happen" as they are this week!

My sister lives in Everett~ we grew up in Germany, and the weather in both places is just the same! Lots of green and healthy forests due to lots of rain!
Hugs,

Well, I was born and spent four years in Istanbul, Turkey. Then my dad got a job teaching physics at the University of Michigan, so I spent twenty odd years in Michigan (Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area). For law school in 2001, my husband and I moved to Washington DC. We lived in the city for three years and then bought a place in Alexandria, VA, where we live now. We both commute to DC every day for work though.
Crazylady, where in Maryland are you? I work for SSA (not the Baltimore headquarters, but in DC) and many people who work the Baltimore campus live in Columbia.

Canandaigua Lake is great
To bfbear,
Canadaigua Lake is great, and I'd love to spend some time there, but we're going on a three week vacation in August to Nove Scotia, Newfoundland, Labrador and Quebec. We had heard how beautiful Newfoundland and Labrador are, and decided this was a good year to take a summer vacation and do a trip that is out of the ordinary.
