help! My father was just diagnosed 4 months ago.
His prostate was removed with nothing in lymph nodes or bones and clean margins. He went, however, for his 8 week follow up today and his psa is 1.9. Has anyone else had a similar experience? The doc is testing bloodwork again to be sure :-(

Check out this website...lots of valuable info!
My husband has been doing Active Surveillance since being diagnosed in Sept. 2011. At his recent check-up our dr. recommended this website: http://www.pctrf.org It's the Prostate Cancer Treatment Research Foundation. It has lots of good information on risk assessment, comparing treatments and much more.

I have not been to this prostate discussion since Februrary. A PSA last week showed an increase from 3.7 (in February) to a current 4.6, or nearly a point in under a year.
