PattieB
I just wanted to let anyone who was fond of PattieB on the discussion boards and on chat that she passed away today around 1pm EST. She was given dilotid towards the end so she went calmly and peacefully. Her daughter was with her. She will be greatly missed.

In keeping with the uplifting spirit of this board I would like to post some good news about moi. I passed my last set of tests with flying colours. Ct scan and labs. Even had my first colonoscopy, ever! It was fun. They get you high and then you watch a monitor while they surf your entrails. In my case, clean as a…

Hello to all. I just found out today that I have another pulm nodule. It is VERY small. It can be seen on the CT scan last June, and hasn't grown at all. Last June the report stated no nodules/NED. (It is so small the radiologist didn't even notice it) This scan reports a nodule, as seen in June's CT without any growth.…

I was doing some volunteer work in a nursing home when I first noticed what I thought was hemorrhoid. Went to a nurse and asked for something for the discomfort. Of couse she gave me hemorrhoid medication. Now that I think back I wonder how many of those poor people in the nursing home may have the same thing and are being…

poo poo
i though my subject line might get more response. my mom is still in the hospital - they are trying to keep her in until she has somewhat of a 'normal' bowel movement'. The question I have for everyone is what is normal? My mother is either constipated or she's in the washroom 10 times a day. It's been 4 months since her…

Mom's 1st doctor visit
Well, we met with the oncologist today. It looks as though the cancer has not mestasised to the liver or any other organs. That was a relief to hear. There was thickening near the urethra which she couldn't tell if it was near or actually touching it. She has ordered an endoscopic ultrasound and an mri. Mom has been having…

colonscopy done
Okay, first off, the pills that I took were a much easier prep for me. You take a total of 28 pills and get the same effects but it was easier for me than the liquid, and there was no enema, just dulcolax before bed to finish the job. Now for the results. This is the first colonscopy after my resection. They found two…

Thanks for your help - Mom is getting out tomorrow
Thanks Monika & Stefanie for replying to my plea for help. Mom is doing much better - only went 2x today. Looks like she'll be out this weekend. They're taking her off the antibiotics - which probably didn't help her diarrhea situation at all. She's feeling better than she has in months (except she's not digging running to…
