The Missive
Webster sez: " a written message" .. which is a one -way conversation until you get a response. Face-to-face we get all kinds of cues, body language, etc. Here those are MISSing, therefore, sometimes we only get to read what is said, not what is felt. An occasional miss sometimes lets us see more clearly (?) Nanuk

grades of cancer
I have recently discovered my mothers stage 3 rectal cancer was a high-grade cancer. She is currently cancer free. This obviously means it was agressive. I know she can still survive this but I guess I'm looking for a little more comfort. She is 56 years old and had one node involved. julie

Secondary Liver Cancer
Hi, This is my third new thread topic this week. Hope it's not too much! I had my first C-T scan done yesterday after finding a rectal tumor last week. C-T scan saw a golf ball size mass in my liver in which "the enhancement pattern is not suggestive of a benign hemangioma". They're not sure it's cancer but of course I'm…

It's been a long time since my last post but thought I'd pass on the latest. Last week my father had his first CAT scan since the chemo started. Some of the tumours have shrunken a little but more importantly, it has not spread nor has the # of tumours increased. They would like him to continue with the next 4 treatments…

stage 4
I was diagnosed with stage 4 in 1/21/05. It was spread to my ovaries. Pet and cat scan show no more tumors.I will be on chemo for 6 months. My question is, if I have no more tumors why is it still more dangerous than a stage 1 or 3...because cell keeps on reproducing faster ? When this started I though that with chemo…

Well we have decided on a treatment plan for my Mom and picked an onc. that really seems knowledgeable about colon cancer. Hi all, I forgot to tell you that my dad had his first colonoscopy last week. He's 78. Thank God it was clean as a whistle. Mom had one few months ago and she had one polyp that was noncancerous.
