How many chemo drugs are there?
Aside from Avastin, 5-FU, Eloxatin, Uritican(m.s.), Herbatox(ms)(not really a chemo drug but used in conjuction), are there other drugs out there that some of you have been put on to fight your cancer? I noticed in a few other postings that Xelota and Leveovorin where mentioned. Just wondered about these and others that…

I'm a little confused
I wrote earlier about Folfox thinking it is a drug and from the reply I got I see its more of a combination of drugs. Another person wrote and included several combination of drugs and each was referred to as a "cocktail", or "folfox", and something else....so when people refer to Folfox it doesn't mean just one drug.…

Pre-Surgery Questions
Hi all, Well as my rectal surgery date approaches I'm getting a little overwhelmed. So many questions. -How can I be sure that I do not need a hysterectomy, while I am having rectal re-section. Most of my reports have said that there is no evidence of local spread, but my tumor is through the bowel wall, so it seems like…

Update
Hi all, hope everyone is doing well. We've had some great news on these boards lately...let's keep it that way. Well we've hit another snag. Scott has a fistula. Has anyone had experience with this? His surgeon who drained the abcess doesn't seem so concerned about it. But then again, the man has no bedside manner…

waiting for test results again!
Hi Everyone, I saw a gynocologist/oncologist today for some female problems that I have been having. The result was a biopsy of the uterus. Apparently uterine cancer does not show up on pet or ct scans. That sure surprised me. The doctor also said that the surgeon who did my surgery for rectal cancer should have removed my…

I heard that FOLFOX is "one of" or the "best" treatment for Stage IV with liver mets and I recently heard that if FOLFOX is used first or "before" they try some other chemo…

Am I losing It???
Maybe I never had "It" but... I was out all day to-ing and fro-ing (I know because I was sorta dressed up--for me, anyway) Now it all seems like a dream and I am not sure where I was and don't want to ask a lot of questions in case my family starts to worry. I know you all have probably been there and done it but I usually…
