My father went to the doctor in a panic and doc says it's most likely a "lipoma." Doc had already made note of it in his charts but they never mentioned it to him.
Thanks for your responses. After all the bad news we have been hearing this sent us all in another panic.....what else could go wrong?!

    Phew!!!! And thanks for letting us know.. What a relief.
    My husband has lipomas -- they can get big, but are completely harmless. That's what we like to hear!
