Does anyone else feel guilty for surviving?
Hi everyone. It has been a while since I've posted to this board. I am 42 years old and a rectal cancer survivor (just passed my 3 year mark). I was feeling elated when I left my oncologist office 2 weeks ago when my follow-up blood work was good. Then a couple of days later, my 16 year old niece was killed in a car…

cat scan results ~ sigh ~
Cat scan results of yesterday show growth in all my tumors in the lungs. They are still considered small. Last scan was in Jan which had showed a decrease in size on oxali. But since Jan i've spent more time off of the oxali than on because of what it's done to my liver studies. I resumed half dose. Onc isn't happy with…

So, a week ago, during a touch-base appt with my rad/onc for the bc rads, he asked if I had any problems. I mentioned that for about 5 days my hip has been failing occasionally. Sugar question - for the nutrition gurus!
Ok, so I am a pretty healthy eater - I try to eat organic, lots of veg, not too much rubbish etc. However, I do love my sugar. I don't eat sweet foods much, but I have one coffee, one tea, and a few fruity herbal infusions a day, but I have to have sugar in them or I can't drink them (I'm bad I know..). I have tried…

Lance carried the hopes and dreams of every cancer survivor when he won his 7 tour titles, the 1st of which was won a mere 3 years after his cancer (stage 4) diagnosis. He was given…
