About this battle
Dear friends, I was wondering something... Do you ever feel that you will not win this battle? I mean does it hit you sometimes that NED or a cure will not come around? I found myself lately having these thoughts, although I'm upbeat MOST of the time. After my RFA on Sept 6th, it's been hard for me to recover physically…

Waiting for results
Hi, All Just had a biopsy today, and am now in the never-never land of waiting for results. Does anyone have any tips on how to get through the waiting part without driving yourself crazy? And how to stay reasonably functional in the other parts of your life (work, family, etc) while you're waiting? I'm pretty new at this…

Whew!
Well folks, I got the PET scan results yesterday after a very emotional weekend and it was fine. There is nothing to further to be done at this time but to follow up in 3 months. I guess that means I'm NED. I'm still concerned that the CEA went up but it is not high. It may just be a reprieve rather than a pardon but I…

Baby vaccines
Speaking about the flu vaccine reminded me of a baby vaccine that my grandson's pediatrician warned about. It is for Rotovirus and is a "live" vaccine. He asked if anyone in the family was on chemo...I had to stay away from him for about two weeks after he got the vaccine. They get three doses. My onc. had not heard of…

Hi all. Went to onc. today and I am NED...he said that this is rare with Stage IV and so many liver mets, but the PET scan can't lie!
