I'm having trouble with some of the exercises - finger-walking the wall above a certain level makes the area around the drains hurt. My arm mobility is pretty good except raising my arm - when I raise it over a certain…

I had a lumpectomy in April and a axillary node dissection in May and am in the middle of chemo treatment. I haven't checked my breasts until now, thinking that I couldn't get a recurrence so soon, with all the treatment I'm having. But I've just noticed that I have lumps on the outer left breast - the tumor was on on the…

Hi all, As a continuation of the thread for MRI's, I thought I would post an article that I found. Maybe some of you have already read it. How do get over feeling your cancer was not as bad as others.
I have had several people that have had breast cancer and had to have breast removed. I was lucky that mine was caught in time, just the removal of tumor and lymph nodes, then 33 treatments of radiation. I have been clean for over 3 1/2 years. This feeling really bothers me.

I'm new this forum. I am in my third month of weekly taxol/carbo/herceptin treatments. The 6 cm lump in my breast has shrunk so much it has all but disappeared. The BC must have metastasized before I even discovered the lump as it was already in both lungs and the lymph nodes in my chest. This is a very aggressive and…

Copies of medical records
After having my mammogram, I requested a copy of the radiology report. I was flat out refused! Instead they sent me a standard "say nothing" form to contact my doctor about an abnormal reading. The HIPAA laws require medical facilities to provide copies when asked. This facility told me they had a "long standing policy"…

Disturbing News
I mentioned a week or two back that the skin on the top of my foot has turned dark, almost purlish, and has thickened to look like elephant skin and never dreamed that it could be something more than a unfortunate derma issue. I had a biopsy and went in for the results and it seems that there is a possibility that this is…
