Funny Breast Cancer Moments - Please Add Your Moment.
I love stories that make me laugh. This is the funniest moment I have had so far in this journey. I posted this on my blog which has become a journal of a whole bunch of things and thoughts on this journey: www.ERtopics.com For a number of reasons, I opted to only have the breast with the mass in it removed. I didn’t want…

And so i wait again
Well I made it thru the second craniotomy with tumor disection in 4 months. I am home now, my head hurts, i am tired and weak. The follow up MRI was "inconclusive" and I am waiting for pathology reports. There is still some hope that the problems I experienced were from post craniotomy changes. But since doctors like to…

FYI - Fakers on the internet - faking cancer
Yes, even on this site. A group of us here were sucked in by someone in the Chat Room several years ago - ostensibly an 18 year old, single mom with Leukemia. We eventually found significant holes in her story, and outed her. Everything is as described in the article I reference below. It's long, but worth the read. My son…

Big Thanks to Melanie, Green Eyed Girl
Just received my awesome ornament! It is just beautiful--a lovely piece of driftwood that has been pain-stakingly carved and painted into a Santa face. I just LOVE it! Being an outdoorsy garden type, it is absolutely perfect for me. And I treasure all of the other little extras: the local candy (lol, I must confess that I…

Allegory - "spread like a cancer" - how do you feel about it, your reaction
Dear survivors, please share your thoughts on a very sensitive issue. Very often cancer is used as an allegory in different contents. I'd like to introduce myself.....
Hi everyone! I thought I would post a little bit about myself as I just joined this group. I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in December of 2011. The lump was attached to the wall of my chest and also to the skin, so I had to go through all the chemo in order to shrink it before any surgery was done. I have since…

CT Scan soon
In March, when I had scans done in anticipation of chemo and then radiation thereapy, the CT scan showed two or three tiny spots in the thoracic region (lymph nodes), but not in any organs. The spots were too small for a PET scan to give any more information about them. Both the oncologist and the radiologist decided to go…

◙** What Is Everyone Doing For Thanksgiving? **◙
Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and, I was wondering what my pink sisters are doing for the holiday. Are you hosting the dinner at your home, or, going somewhere? And, what do you do on the day? Eat, take a nap, watch football, Christmas shop, put up your Christmas tree? What? Happy Thanksgiving

I look like I have Chicken Pox, no more chemo, doctor made the decision....
I don't have to make the decision, the doctor stopped the chemo. I went to the pharmacy and the Pharmacist looked at the rash on my face and neck, told him it was everywhere, what should I buy? He made me call my doctor, said it was an allergic reaction to the chemo. The doctor told me to stop the chemo, take Benedryl for…

A note from a VERY 'old-timer'....still alive and kickin' and NED!
8 years ago today, I was undergoing tests, scopes, etc for rectal bleeding and severe low back pain. Sadly, the day after Thanksgiving that year 2004, I heard those 3 life-changing words for the first time "You have cancer". And then, to my amazement, my very self controlled GI gal hugged me with tears in her eyes…

She will get a place of honor on my tree (once I get it up). My angel came from Miss Renee. And of course you all know what an angel Miss Renee…
