I've Been Quiet About My Lung Problems
I had a terrible cough from January to late April. In Feb. I had that awful appenidix surgery disaster. NO ONE HAD TOLD ME THAT MY LEFT LUNG SHOWED ATELECTISIS (general term for multiple problems) I imagine it as a shadow spot that doesn't belong there. My doctor put me on antibiotics for 14 days. No relief, so she put me…

Dropping In to say HI
Hello you beautiful people. It's been quite some time since I've posted. For those of you who remember me, I am usually trying to run as fast as I can from this beast. That's why I keep my posts few and fewer. I have checked in periodically to see how everyone is doing, though. Glad to see that you are all (most) doing…

Officially Diagnosed...bummer
So, here I am. Officially diagnosed with ductal carcinoma. We don't know if it is "in situ" yet, so prayers, good vibes, whatever you've got- send our way. Thank you to the ladies who pushed me to insist on a biopsy! Cancer, indeed, knows no age. -Molly (Age 30)

Mammogram clear!
Hi Everyone, I was diagnosed in 2009 and everytime I have a mammo, I worry. So, I am passing on my good news....NED. I also had a bone density test. I have some happy news
Sometimes when there is such sad news on the board it is hard to share happy news, but, in my heart, I know it is important to share good news too. I saw my oncologist of 26 years today and he was THRILLED with my PET scan. He even wrote across the top of the report "great response." He told me 2 more rounds of taxotere…

VickiSam and Sirod, have been wonderful in keeping up and asking after others. With me lately, by the time something…

OT: If you have a cat and need a good laugh for the day, this is it!
Hello, all - I thought we could all use a good laugh today! When our 15-year-old son says, "You have to see this funny cat video on YouTube," let's just say I don't typically go rushing to my computer....but "Sad Cat Diary" is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time, and I was laughing so hard I could barely…

Hi all, I saw the plastic surgeon last Friday and I really liked him and I got a call from my surgeons office today, my surgery will be Thursday July 18th.It seems so surreal that just a few short weeks ago I would have never guessed that I would be having B/L Mastectomy with reconstruction in July. My plans were to garden…

Good news!!!!
OK, I had my PET scan today and peeked at my results this pm. I have not talked to my oncologist and the report is very long, but, from what I can tell, here is the gist: 1) Resolution of liver cancer (remember last report had 231 cancerous liver lesions). Liver shows no increased glucose activity usually seen with cancer.…
