Our dear friends Moopy and Aortus - with Eefy, Yongy and Anubis(*) along, of course - are on the road today, heading towards temporary relocation in St. Louis. Wishing them safe travels!

Moopster's 2nd rads simulation is scheduled for Wednesday; hopefully, her treatments will begin on either Friday or Monday. Good luck and warmest best wishes to Moopster!

Kind regards, Susan

Moopy and Joe, have a wonderful trip with all the PODs in tow! Just consider this a long vacation with a bit of tanning thrown in for good measure.

Well Moopy and Joe, I wish you a very safe and successful trip to St. Louis! You will be getting the best treatment available Moopy and will get thru it with flying colors! Like Cat said, think of it as a vacation. I like that Cat! And, good luck with your simulation. I am curious, why did you have to have 2? I only had the one. I feel left out now..lol

Seriously, wishing you the best and praying for you!

    Love, Jeanne

    Away you go!
Best of luck to the whole Moopster clan as they make their way to St. Louis. I know the simulation will go well. I hope that this trip will be notable for more than just radiation treatments. Maybe some good memories will be made as well.

For the record, I would like to submit my two lovely cats, Bibby and Michi, for membership in P.O.D.S.

    Thank You All
Thanks Susan, and everyone. You are probably tired of hearing about my getting ready for radiation. It has been going on for weeks now. I appreciate your patient support and messages.

Jeanne, I have no idea why I am getting another simulation. It will take 2 hours, they warned me. Plus, I should take some Tylenol before coming in as many complain of shoulder aches afterward. What THAT is all about I don't know. If anyone at all is interested after all this time, I will be glad to tell you after Wednesday. I just want the **** radiation going and done. (I bleeped myself and saved moderators the effort.)

In the meantime, if you will, please send us good luck with hauling 3 dogs 200 miles. That is our goal for this afternoon/evening. All of us except Joe will be on Xanax. He will need some after driving us all for 3-4 hours! Poor Joe. He still says he would marry me again, bc and all.

I am thinking of you, and Kat with her appt today and Maryann with her mastectomy coming up and Pammy still waiting and Melanie with her 6-mo mammo on Wednesday and Tasha with her bad night and surf with her port pain. I am sorry if I am missing anyone. I will keep in touch as much as I can. Will log in tonight to let you all know we made it, dogs and all.

    Good luck with your move!
    Hi Moopy, and Joe
I'm wishing you the best. Tell Joe to save a little xanax for the pups! I hope everything goes smoothly, and that you will feel like it is a vacation. I missed you all, my computer at home isn't working right..but Jamie is meeting me here at the hotel in just a couple hours and she says when we get back she will try to fix it. I can't wait to see her.

I am getting pretty burned from the rads and was peeling last night. Bob told me to see the Dr. fist and they probably would stop the rads for a break..but the Dr. just told me to put some cornstach on it and blow dry from the shower on cool setting?

Let us know when you get there. I missed you.

    Hey Jackie!
Sorry to hear you are burning already. Have you tried Biafine for the burn? Also, there is Silvadene, which is even stronger. And, use the Aquaphor at night, it is really greasy and will help with the peeling. I just am so sorry. But, ask your radiation oncologist about any of these, if you want to try them. They worked for me. But, do what the doc says! Hugs, Jeanne

and, i did use some aloe vera straight from the plant a few times, not a lot. my rads doctor said no, but, i assumed it wouldn't hurt and i think it did help.

    MOOPYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Moopy, you are probably getting a second simulation because you are going to get the best radiation therapy EVER! And yes, my arm and my shoulder hurt from having to lay there perfectly still for so long, so, take something beforehand. You could also take some music to listen to if you want, but, ask them first. Some won't let you. Good luck sweet lil Moopy! Love, Jeanne

    We're heeeeeeerrrrrrre!
And thrilled to be here too. It's a 3 1/2 hour drive without doggies; 5 hours with. Eefy was angelic, Yongy was very good, and Nubi will be fully sedated for the drive back home. I will say that he didn't take a leak, or crap, or barf. But he did whine the whole way.

Moopy, of course, is spectacular. She should be getting ready for bed now but she insists on unpacking and getting things ready. You will no doubt hear from the Moopster sometime tomorrow.

Thank you all so much for everything!

    Best,
    Joe

Moopy and Joe, so glad to read that you made it and with your dogs still alive. LOL Ok, that was a bad joke. But, those critters can be a bit trying on the nerves on a long trip. LOL

Moopy, good luck with your simulation. I will be thinking of you!

    Thanks so much, Joe!
Glad to know EVERYONE made it there, safe and sound. Maybe poor Nubi was distressed by the harness? Fully sedated for the return home sounds like a good idea...

Speaking of dog harnesses, don't forget to put them somewhere secure and far away from the dogs. So they can't be chewed through. You know, like a seat belt.

    Kind regards, Susan
