Found lump right before mycrselby said:DXed at 57
Now 58, at 6 months post-surgery. Mammograms and MRIs show all is well!! My mom was DXed at age 57 with the bone-marrow cancer that eventually killed her at 63. Ugh.

Age 66 diagnosed in 2009. Turned 67 January 15, 2010. Abnormal mammo last Feb 2009. Hubby had quadruple bypass in March of 09. When he got home and started his recuperating, I further pursued the abnormal mammo. I also changed my PHP and surgeon during all of this.
Ultrasound May 2009
Biopsy June 17, 2009.
Surgery 7/13/09 Lumpectomy and removal of sentinel lymph node (DX Stage 2 BC)
Surgery 8/14/09 Removed rest of lymph nodes
Developed terrible infection at surgical sites and took antibiotics up till 2 weeks ago.
Chemo began 10/6/09
Still doing chemo, 2 more rounds to go and then on to radiation. -

At how many breast cancer patients under the age of 50....
I was diagnosed at age 65 in June 2009. Mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy all the same day. Definite diagnosis two days later. Chemo began end of July (5 treatments), surgery Dec. 3 (lumpectomy) and now half way through rads.
Its been a long journey and today I was thinking how sick I am of all of this. Guess its the fatigue getting to me.
