Hi Jamie...just saw your post about the weight problems. I gained weight during radiation because I got so tired, I just layed around and ate. So, when I finally said enough is enough, I started on the Zone Diet. It is very easy to follow, and once you learn the portions, you can make up your own menus. I also bought a…

Mastectomy with reconstruction same time
I had a mastectomy and reconstruction the same time and had to stop for chemo, just started my first. I felt a bit spacey afterwards, Dr. said I can't finish reconstruction until all treatments are complete. Then they'll have to take the expander out and put in the implant. Also if any of you have done a clinical trial…

Nipple reconstruction...Is it worth it???
I'm looking for anyone who has had this done. My mastectomy was August 9, 2001 with an combination expander-implant inserted the same day. I talked to the plastic surgeon about nipple re-construction and am considering having it done. At the same time, he will finally remove the port for the implant. He uses a "modified…

thank you
Hi. Thanks to Angie, Shirlann, and Emmi for your responses. I never thought of it as a good thing, I guess, but when you said it may be too small and they are worried they won't get enough, it clicked with somehting the surgeon said too. He did not feel a biopsy was necessary at all and does not consider what he feels as a…
