DeQuervains Tenosynovitis
Now I have this. Vent time. My left wrist has been bothering me for some time and I finally went to the doctor to have him look at it and possibly do a cortisone injection. He said he doesn't do cortisone, and who is my Orthopedist. Like I have one on call, really now! He gave me a referral to one and told me he would know…

Thank you for all of the prayers and good thoughts. My bi-lateral mastectomy was completed on 2/24! It took 5 hours and I spent the night in the hospital. I can't wait to get these tubes out! Surgeon called last night and said they got everything. Only the sentinal node had cancer cells. Woo Hoo! So, I'm at Stage 2 IDC.…

ovaries removed because ER+ and PR+
I am considering having my ovaries removed because I was pre-metapausal when diagnosed with BC. I am ER+, PR+, and Her2+. Has anyone had this operation as a way to lower the estrogen and stop from having to take tamoxifen. Also, I was just curious how many people are Her2 positive like me.

With the hopes of Spring soon to be here, I am looking forward to getting some sun again. I used to go to a tanning booth at the start of Spring, just to get that baseline tan. Then, I would just let the sun take over for my tan. My rads oncologist and oncologist both said NO sun, but, I wondered if anyone else had tanned…

Swimsuits - where to find a cute one?
I have to find a swimsuit by mid May to take G-daughter to WaTiki Water Park for her birthday - we do it every year. All the site's I've found that show post mastectomy suits have ones that I'm not about to wear - too OLD/matonly looking. I'm OLD yes - but I don't dress my age. So any ideas for younger looking swim suits.…

Stupid Question - Rads - How tired is tired or describe fatigue?
I am somewhat confused or uncertain when I read posts and I read that you are tired or that you are experiencing fatigue. Can you describe exactly what you are experiencing? When I was in radiation treatment I was constantly asked if I was tired. If I allowed myself to sit, relax, and watch TV or the movies or a play, then…

I found a lump mid January. Took 2 days to get a Dr. appt, that was good. Then it took 2 weeks to get appt. for a special mammogram. Then it took…

Sleeve and glove causing swelling
I got my sleeve and glove this morning. Sleeve is 'off the shelf' but glove is custom made as I have very short fingers in comparison to width of hand/palm. Oh no, I have a cold ~ update!!
I'm so upset! I have a cold, and it's given me a slight fever. I've been watching my temp yesterday and today. When I woke up it was 98.5, I was sooo happy. Then, as I sat at the computer, I could tell I was getting warm. It's only 100.1. I have my last chemo on Wednesday and I really, really don't want to miss it. I know…
