Today was a great day. Path reports were clear. The doctor got it all. Next step is radiation in a month or so. Staples come out Wednesday and back to work on Thursday. I feel very little pain, just when I reach up for something. Doing laundry and mopping today. Nurse says I can do what I feel like without discomfort. I can shower now, too. To you ladies just beginning your treatment, good things will happen. Even on days when you're sick and beyond tired, you'll reach a day like the one I'm having today. My treatment started end of September and it's almost over.

    That's fantastic, Laurissa! You sound terrific. I'm so happy for you! I will be starting rads soon too. I was hoping for Monday but I didn't hear from my doctor's office with my schedule so I guess not :( But it sounds like we'll be running across that finish line together. YIPEE! I will be looking into reconstruction down the road, but I'm thinking of that as 'fun stuff'.

    Don't overdo, lady! I don't think you should be doing laundry just yet... isn't there someone that could spoil you for a bit longer?

    that is great! and Marlene is right dont overdo so you continue to heal and have all good days. I got my drain out and will have my planning on March 18th. so I may not finish withyou guys but close. Penny

    you better not be mopping or doing laundry!!!I'll be over there and turn you over my knee...and no more soup!!! you rest and take care of yourself the next few days.I know your happy to dance with NED, but rest awhile before going back to work..Now go sit down ,orders from your big sister!!!!

    you're making me look bad! But, I am so happy that you are feeling so well! Save some of that energy in case rads tires you out.

    You made my day Laurissa. Seems like you speeding along this recovery path and you sound so happy. Glad you're feeling so much better and what kind of shoes are you wearing for your dance with NED? I'm going to have to put my fast sneakers on but I'll not be able to catch up with you. You lead the way, we'll be right behind you. Almost time to celebrate!

    And don't worry, I never overdo! Only what I'm up to. The vicadin is helping, I sure can tell when the next dose is due. I've been trying to go without it, but it's too soon.

    When I was deep into my chemo and sicker than a dog, I would read about you and the "chemo chicks" and know I wasn't alone. I was too sick to post, but you guys really helped me and you didn't even know it! Thank you..

    Spring is almost here and you are ready for it. But knock off the mopping and laundry and rest for a few days.
