Braved it and SHAVED it
I took the brave step today and had my head shaved. It was 15 days after my first chemo treatment. My hair had become so thin and it was falling out anywhere and everywhere. It was gross. Having it shaved was actually a relief from the mess. I already had a wig so I was ready. Any suggestions for taking care of your scalp?…

Stage 2. I was given the choice of Chemo or no Chemo.
Hi, I was diagnosed with breast Cancer March 31st. The doctors removed the lump and lymph nodes. Friday the oncologist said to do radiation and hormone therapy. And said that I'm a gray matter, that I can do chemotherapy or not. It's my choice. I'm having a tough time with this. Is there anyone out there that has had a…

Breast self-exams
Will there be a point where I will be able to make sense of breast self-exams? At this point, with all the mucking about the surgeon did in there over the past few months, I have these residual rock-hard lumps. Doing a BSE is pointless, because I know I have to ignore the major lumps I'll find. Do the hard spots from a…

Delayed Diagnosis Breast Cancer are you a victim?
Hello, curious to know if any breast cancer patients or survivors were delayed a mammogram, biopsy, aspiration, or MRI because your doctor did not feel there was a reason or diagnosed your masses on the spot as cyst, without further diagnostic workup or exams? If so I really want to hear from you. Or if you have any other…

Anyone else Depressed with Femora
I was on Arimidex and had to be taken off because of extremely bad side effects. I have been on Femora for about six months and although I don't have the severe join pain anymore .... I am becoming severely depressed from Femora. I was ALWAYS "happy go lucky" until Femora. My oncologist said this is one side affect from…

I lost a dear friend today
Not to breast cancer but to brain cancer. Sheri Spittler-Davenport was a wonderful person. So smart and with a razor sharp sense of humor. She leaves behind a loving husband and a young son. The world has lost such a loving soul.

Hootie Girl's Obituary
Katrina's Obituary After battling breast cancer for more than two years, Katrina Lynn Larson passed away peacefully at her family home Tuesday. She was born on May 21, 1991. Her short life was full of experiences as even the number of countries she visited rivaled her own age of 21. With a smile that shined on the acting…

Rest is not Best: Cancer survival through Active Living
was the title of an hour's lecture given by Dr. Anna Campbell in Dundee, Scotland in January. She's the leading expert (certainly in the UK, at least) on the important role of exercise in the lives of cancer patients, having spent about the last twelve years teaching and researching on that subject. She has a Master's…

A Poem For Sweet, Young Kat, Our Hootie Girl
NATURE'S WONDERS Have you ever wondered what makes the wind blow? Could it be our loved ones blowing us a kiss? Have you ever wondered what makes the stars shine? Is it our loved ones keeping watch over us while we sleep? Have you ever wondered what makes the skies cry? Could it be our loved ones missing us? Have you ever…

It's such a shock to read of Kat's passing. I will post below the site you can go to, to light a candle in her memory. It is the same site that I've posted before for other pink sister's that left this earth too soon.
