Home from my 2nd surgery
It went ok. They took out all nodes under my right armpit. My arm hurts and I am on strong painkillers and pretty much stoned :) Now I have to wait for path report and there is still one big decision to make what to do with my left breast. Take care, Carmen

Well I am having the VATS on my left lung with some node removal on Monday....He said he wasnt sure how many nodes, he would decide once he's in there...I will have to stay at least one night and he said it could be up to three, I hate staying in the hospital. Recent diagnosis of DCIS Grade 3 with microinvasion -
I have been recently diagnosed with DCIS with 1mm microinvasion - Grade 3. I am undergoing a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction on Tuesday of next week. I am curious to hear from others with same diagnosis - on how things went for them. I will be having a sentinel lymphnode resection during surgery.

Skin breakdown 7 months after internal radiation to breast following lumpectomy
