Last taxotere tomorrow
Say a little prayer or send some healing vibes! Last one kicked my butt soooo bad. Today is the first day I felt at all like myself and I strongly suspect that is my pre-chemo steroids. Hoping this one will be more tolerable. At least it is the last!

My Reconstruction Surgery didn't go well :(
Hello all. I had my tissue expanders taken out on Thursday, and the implants went in. The whole day was odd. Before I got to the surgery center, the surgeon's nurse called me. Apparently the implant that I chose was not available. I had to go in early to choose another type or delay the surgery to the end of August. I went…

I've recently undergone a bilateral mastectomy and was initially diagnosed with invasie lobular carcinoma, but while reading my patholgy report it says invasive lobular carcinoma, pleomorphic type. Prior to surgery this tumor grew from 1.cm to 4.0 cm. Does anyone have information on this type of…

Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12 use with chemotherapy and L-glutamine for mouth sores
I am not taking my regular antioxidant regimen during chemotherapy, but I had researched the need for B6 and B12. Has anyone had this experience? Also, using L-glutamine powder has been recommended for mouth sores during chemotherapy. I am using a baking soda/salt water rinse after every meal, but should I do this more…

Dealing with extreme fatigue
I went through Stage IIIc breast cancer in mid-2011. I had a mastectomy, chemo and radiation. My treatment ended at the very end of 2011. That was about 20 moths ago, and I am still so exhausted that I sleep 10 hours every night and often take 2-hour naps. And no, I am not depressed. I went to my oncologist for a regular…

Best test..MRI or PET?
I can't discuss why, but I want a test to make sure I'm still cancer free. I had stage 3c in 2009, finished treatment in early 2010. Mast., chemo, rads, and am now on Tamoxafin. I never had any extensive tests done, except a bone scan (did you know that the magnets in the scanner made the fillings loose in a few of my…

safe supplements to take during chemotherapy.
I know I am not supposed to take antioxidants during chemotherapy. I understand why. Are there any supplements like calcium or glucosamine that are safe to take? Has anyone taken B-complex safely or Vitamin C in low doses? I am on a very good fruit and veggie diet and I drink lots of fluids, but I hate to give up…

What are your Hobbies?
Besides our never ending cleaning chores, I'd like to hear what 'interests' you may have, or what are your hobbies??? For me, besides caring for my dog, my weekend interest is kayaking and visiting new places; in the winter months, I like to scrapbook, play scrabble or online with 'words with friends'... So, how about all…

Here is something thats no so funny
The job is no more. There was to much harassment there . The funny part when I reported it was made out like it never happened wrong. I had taken their anti-harassment class before starting and shortly found out that they dont even followe their own training. Long story short I am back out looking for work.

I know this sounds dumb
but who should my 'go to' doctor be? My surgeon and my oncologist work together closely, but seem to keep my primary out of the loop. I don't really care for my oncologist, I've only had a couple of appointments with him. We just didn't seem to connect. I love my primary, but it's like pulling teeth to get any test results…
