This post started out as walking, but we are an open minded bunch and now we have many exercise types listed in the title. Just move if you can.

We also have the unique 100,000km 30 year clinical trial being run here. will anyone make this target, dare is say even earlier than 30 years. It would be just so amazing. Obviously we will all have to live that long to get an invite to the party.

In Sydney Australia, sylvania to sutherland. Bottle and all.
This is the walking post. I am walking to the naturopath right now.
I feel fine, with energy just bad diarrhea. Its good having a bag, I don't have to find a tree anymore. haha

If you have some energy and are well come for a walk with me today. A walk around the world if you will for 10 minutes to 5 hours whatever you can manage. going to do this everyday.

I used to hear " an apple a day keeps the doctor away "

Now I say to myself " a walk a day keeps the monster away"

search on exercise colorectal and recurrance, for details.

come on couch potatoes up and addem and move.

love to all,

Pete

ps I am out the door right now.

http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/factsheet/prevention/physicalactivity
1. What is the relationship between physical activity and colon cancer risk?
Colorectal cancer has been one of the most extensively studied cancers in relation to physical activity, with more than 50 studies examining this association. Many studies in the United States and around the world have consistently found that adults who increase their physical activity, either in intensity, duration, or frequency, can reduce their risk of developing colon cancer by 30 to 40 percent relative to those who are sedentary regardless of body mass index (BMI), with the greatest risk reduction seen among those who are most active (3–7). The magnitude of the protective effect appears greatest with high-intensity activity, although the optimal levels and duration of exercise are still difficult to determine due to differences between studies, making comparisons difficult. It is estimated that 30 to 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity per day is needed to protect against colon cancer (6, 7). It is not yet clear at this time whether physical activity has a protective effect for rectal cancer, adenomas, or polyp recurrence (3).
Physical activity most likely influences the development of colon cancer in multiple ways. Physical activity may protect against colon cancer and tumor development through its role in energy balance, hormone metabolism, insulin regulation, and by decreasing the time the colon is exposed to potential carcinogens. Physical activity has also been found to alter a number of inflammatory and immune factors, some of which may influence colon cancer risk.

Done lots of miles going up and down in our house in Mexico , also walking and swimming on the beach and swimming pool it must count like 1000 and I would add another 500 in Barcelona Airport looking for our luggage , it appeared in a different terminal than the rest of the luggages of our airplane !

I walked 4.5 mile today and yesterday.

My new smart phone has an APP called Cardio Trainer.
I was walking before, but only knew I was walking for 45 minutes.
For some reason knowing the stats from the walks seems to motivate me to walk further and for longer amounts of time.
Started out walking 2.7 mile, what I was walking before I knew my stats, and have increased my walk to 3.7 then 4.5 mile
Since August 9th when my wife put the APP on my phone, I have recorded 40 workouts (walks) and covered 126 miles. Don't know how many KMs that is.
Phone says that was 13,667 calories burned.

Hello!
I have been busy with exercise today. An hour of yoga this morning and then a 3km walk through the neighbourhood. This afternoon I planted 44 bulbs - always need to get ready for spring!! Next I am heading to my mini-trampoline to do my bouncing. Gotta keep the body strong.

HI pepei
Going really well.
Did treadmill 40min @7km/h 15 incline 13.3 Mets/h. This I am doing 5 Days a week.
Now Monday, Wednesday and Friday are weight training.
Tuesday and Thursday stretching and core training.
Down to 94kg, aiming 89 kg. Still some fat to get rid of.
Feeling strong, the treadmills still tedious but the girls in my gym are lovely.

At my chinese herbalist now.

I am glad marks posting, it's good tohave some company in our walking.
Might need a new pair of shoes soon.

Anyone else exercising?
Hugs,
Pete

The point of walking is beyond 53 percent for me.
My life, my future,my legacy is in my own hands.
Had to get crc to learn this.

So let's walk, be healthy and survive as long as we can.
100 is a good target.

At the gym right now doing treadmill and weights.

just had avocado and salmon sushi.
Really nice.

Every workout, and every post not so subtley gets t he exercise highlighted here, and that's enough.
Of course the more the merrier, but I am happy enough to have your company pepe on this exercise journey.

Hugs,
Pete

I took a walk about 12km in the backwoods near me. I am trudging up the fith and final climb when I spot big cat tracks. Probably about 7 cm. A 30k-35k cat. I am thinking pretty neat that I am so close to such a neat creature. I am in 2M tall brush. Then I come across a Cat print about 10cm wide and 14cm long that is fresh. That is from a Big Kitty! Probably about 50k. It is humbeling to be out in nature and know that you are not the big dog.

Best Always, mike

Yesterday, no work so I walked 4.25 mile. Wife came home and we walked with daughter 1.8 mile.

This evening, while wife was at a teachers meeting and daughter at youth group, both at North Shore Christain Academy, I walked 3.7 mile in the dark and rain.

YES Pete I walk every day on the treadmill and do little weight training in afternoon to keep strong. Some days are easier then others. BUT every week this treat keeps me going, knowing I am not the only one. I had a tough week,( partner left me) but it is getting better as the days go on.
