I'm sorry for your sufferingSkiffin16 said:Thoughts
Prayers your way Roger....hope it's not another setback.
Best,
John
As you do I have no thoughts about prognosis with this type of cancer to the bones, perhaps someone here has faced this development. I only offer thoughts that your suffering and your wife's suffering is somehow diminished.0 -
Roger; I hope that the pain
Roger; I hope that the pain you're feeling now is not what your Dr thinks it could be.
Keep in mind that depending on what treatment you had; you could have side effects from it (I say this not knowing your history). You mention hip pain which could be from your back being out of alignment. Also; if you're on antidepressants; they have side effects too. I have an 18 year old suffering side effects from them.
My hub was prescribed Actiq pops & said they were the best for his cancer pain. Keep it in mind & ask your Dr for a script. He may be able to prescribe a few just for you to try.
Good luck0 -

Roger:
So sorry to hear that kind of news. Here's praying that it's not spread to your bones. Don't ever give up as Jimmy "v" says! I'm praying for your wife too as I so know what she's feeling and going thru. God Bless!

Sorry about the diagnosis and hope Sue holds up ok as well - I know she too must be scared. Wish you guys were down here in Mexico, wouldn't change anything but the area would be uplifting and the tequila would......
Hang in there bud!

Hoping and praying the bone scan is clean and another source for the pain can be found.0 -
bone mets
Roger,
My husband has bone mets but no pain. There was concern about one lesion in his pelvis for fear of fracture, so they radiated it. I do know that radiation is used for palliative care with bone pain and is quite effective.
Andy's mets were found in June and they have not grown. On his current treatment, they have actually shrunk so, I do believe it can be kept at bay and maybe for a LONG time.
Hope it's not mets but just wanted to share our experience, just in case.
If they are positive, I will be glad to tell you more about his current treatment.
