    Your mom was truly an inspiration to us all. She was so strong--and even when she wasn't doing well herself, she always had some good advice or a warm, compassionate thought for someone else.

    My deepest sympathy to you and your family. We will miss our dear Meena forever.

    I'm heartbroken to hear this news! Your mother was an inspiration to me and to so many ... her courage, her endurance, her fighting spirit.

    I'm so sorry for your loss. My mother passed from BC two years ago and I felt the same way you do ... she's no longer in pain and she's at peace.

    I met your mother on this board through her encouraging and inspiring comments. Later I was blessed to meet her in person at Fox Chase Cancer Center and she had a huge smile and a hug for me.

    I also lost my mother to breast cancer and it is so hard, but I believe my mother remains with me in spirit. It sounds like you have wonderful memories of your mom.

    so sorry to hear...! I LOST MY dad when I was 19...but like you said the best years of my life...and think of him every day still 32 yrs later...

    So sorry to hear about your mother's passing. She was a gentle inspiring spirit here on the boards and we will all miss her. 21 years is not a lot of time but enough for her to have inspired you to be your best self I am sure. She will always live on in you.

    You are so young to lose your Mom. I'm 52, my daughters are 18 and 21. I worry about leaving them if that happens to me. Stay strong. I know you're very proud of your Mom.

    Meena was our beacon of light
    We knew Meena, boy did we KNOW Meena!

    In all my 2 years on this board I can honestly say that she
    has never stopped to inspire me. I looked up to her, for her
    strength and unwavering faith.

    She managed to live her life and put cancer on the back burner.
    Which is no small feat if you have constant reminders in the form
    of pain, appointments etc. etc.

    She touched all our lives with her way of dealing with illness.

    I will miss her dearly. And I can only start to imagine how hard
    this must be on you Nikkilulu. Your Mom was one our most beloved
    members on this board.
