Another update....ugh

in Breast Cancer #1
I went in to have a new power port put in, well when they took the old port out they were unable to put a new one in. They said that my veins were too deteriated and there may be clots, also they think the cancer may have spread to my lungs or a tumor is growing! So off i went for ct scan on Thursday. I will get the results on Tuesday, although i will call on Monday because i feel terrible. I am having problems swallowing, sometimes i feel like i am drowning. I do remember mamag having swallowing problems. I have a large lump on the side of my neck. It seems like no one knows what is going on and I am getting very impatient!!! My doctor is the expert in Inflammatory breast cancer, woman come here from all over the country to see him. I cannot believe how tired and weak i am, that is why i have not been on much, but i am thinking of each one of you. be back soon

    Dear Meena-

    So sorry to hear about this latest hurdle in front of you. I hate weekends and that you have to wait until Monday before you can call. What would happen if you called over the weekend? Isn't someone on call? It might even be your oncologist. Hope you get some relief really soon. I'll keep you in my prayers and send additional positive thoughts your way.

    I'm sorry that you are having these new developments. What if any news do you have concerning the tumor in your liver, stable, shrinking? Please don't let your mind play nasty tricks on you. Until you know for sure what you're facing, stay strong both physically and mentally. Try not to compare your symptoms to those of others, remember-we are all unique, even when battling cancer. Positive thoughts and prayers for you!

    Awwww...so sorry they couldn't put in another port for you. That is lousy, indeed.
    I know it is near impossible not to worry; I agree with the Kindred Spirits who asked why you don't go ahead and call now rather than wait for Monday to get some answers and relief. I was on the phone at my cancer center whenever I needed to be~ it truly doesn't matter what day or time. They are on call for a reason; to be of assistance to the patients...especially the ones in treatment and distress.

    All of the sisters here on the boards love you soooo much, Meena. We send you peaceful thoughts, positive energy and all the love and support you can possibly imagine.

    Well, here it is again! I don't come here that much anymore for very selfish reasons along with not having a whole lot of free time, but Meena, I think of you so often and you are in my prayers. I am so sorry you're feeling so tired and going through such a difficult time. Thank God your doctor is so good in his field. Have trust in him and in God and you will be fine... it's just another annoying hump to get over. I won't let you out of our date, lady! Rest well and get strong! Love, Mar ♥

    your amazing spirit up. I am so ferociously hoping that it did not spread to your lungs.

    Just wanted you to know I am praying for you and thinking of you often. I know how you must feel. I'm so tired of doctors putting me off. I wish you well on your CT results. Get some rest and take care of yourself. You are a strong woman. I have bad veins too, that chemo can do a number on them. Bless you.
