Ok Kim it counts about 14 km. so congrats!Annabelle41415 said:Walk
Well very proud of myself yesterday did 13,400 steps, but today only walked about 25 mintues. Just got caught up doing other things and never went back on the treadmill for a second time today. Get mad at myself when I'm not doing my usual 35 minutes or more a day. Had a bad "loo" day as Pete would say Sometimes just have to take that tea in order for me to go and then - oh well just squirts of a little amount and then again in 2 minutes. Oh this disease is awful, but I'm getting out there doing when I'm able and that's what counts
Hugs! Kim
Pete! how many tines to loo? how ,any meters each time? , now seriously , hope you feel better and can join us very soon.

Went kayak fishing in 20+mph winds! Super hard time tying knots with this neuropathy.
Didnt catch anything (to many boats on the water today) but had a good time paddling on the water.0 -

Glad that you are joining the club dear one. You are right, my thinking was the same thing when looking at the title and never opened the post until a week ago. Anything we do is considered exercise, and yes, even cleaning the toilets

Exercise
Well did my 39 minutes on treadmill - don't ask why 39, some 38, 25, 33. All depends on how the bathroom issues go, but today did a good workout and then went shopping for my garden. Spent more money today than time spent on the treadmill but hey got to get the garden growing. Yesterday was not a good day, like I said and only did about 9,700 steps. Live for life and do what you can do for this day. Only focus on today. Tomorrow will take care of itself.

This evening Bill and I walked downtown to dinner. It was HOT, and I was worn out from the heat, but it felt good to move.

I, too, ignored this thread because of the title....unknown said:This comment has been removed by the Moderator
but popped on today because of comments referencing it elsewhere.
Before I forget, Graci - I've finally found comfortable shoes in the new Clarks Unstructured line. They even have some dressy-ish shoes. They are not cheap (~$100) but well worth the money. I hate shoes and cannot wear heels. I have 4 pairs: brown and black loafer styles from them and black and bronze slightly dressy sandals, with a bit of a wedge heel. I gave a 5th pair to my daughter, because the cut bothered me a bit (but she loved them, as they were slightly dressy, and extremely comfortable.)
Exercise - I've been trying to get on the exercise bandwagon, and doing so sporadically. Yesterday 11+ miles on my bicycle along the Mohawk River. Walks - a couple of miles here and there (Sunday, with my daughter, newly home from 7 months in Taiwan.)
I find I can't tolerate the heat and humidity, which discourages me from going outside as much. Now that the incessant rain has stopped (2 weeks of continuous rain) it is very hot and humid. Constant thunderstorm threats have kept me out of my beloved kayak!
Much more frequent foot cramping since chemo et al - I never know when my foot will seize up on me and let me down.
However, over all, life is great! (Well, except I forgot to renew my drivers license before this past Friday, and now for the first time in over 40 years, I don't have a legal drivers license! To be rectified later this morning, as my husband drives me to the DMV!)
Best to all, Alice0 -

Well, sons girlfriend brought a bike up, she wanted to ride while my son jogs, can't keep up with him. So, saw that bike sitting there and thought WHY NOT!!! Haven't been on a bike in ages, first day wobbly, second day I was back to just holding on to the handle bars with one hand....so goes to show you, like the saying goes, you don't forget how to ride a bike.0
