Went for a lovely walk the other night with my son and his girlfriend, crossed a bridge and watched the frogs and crayfish doing their thing...was interesting. It was at night but there is a light over the bridge which lit up the water, I'll be doing that again as soon as this rain stops!!!

its a sunny but cool winters day here, so great to be home.

Wow, your bike rides put me to shame with my exercise....you motivate me to do more...again it's raining (bad excuse) I had to go for chemo today, I did not park my car in the hospital parking lot, I parked at the local hockey arena and walked the extra block instead, bonus I get some exercise, and it saves me $20.00 parking fee at the hospital!!! Where do you live that you get snow and you get to see pelicans? I love pelicans, so enjoy when in Florida and they are diving into the water out of the sky, I could just sit and watch that for hours!!!

    Hey, Pete.

Today I got my exercise sweeping our front porch and sidewalk.

This past weekend I, too, was walking in Relay For Life. Walked LOTS of laps, plus did Zumba (in the rain) around midnight, and then danced from 3-4:30 am. It was a marathon of exercise, and I loved every second of it.

    *hugs*

    hi gail
i saw your other post, relay is just wonderful.
good for our soul and our bodies. that why i am aiming to do the marathon next year.
the zumba sounded so good in the rain. we might do a separate post here for all the relayers soon. getting healthy minds and bodies and the same time helping others and raising money.

    hi smokeyjoe!
I live in Fort Collins, CO where we never quite know what the spring day will be like. The pelicans come in the spring to early summer and then they disappear. They are just amazing for us to see being landlocked and all. We had rain today and now I understand that a major storm is bearing down on our mountains and will make its way to the plains by mid day tomorrow. good thing I did not plant tomatoes yet!

I could not exercise very much on chemo so take it easy! I swam every other week and walked some. We had had really blustery and cold spring that year so I stayed with inside sports. Towards the end of chemo i could hardly walk to the corner! So please listen to your body and don't try to do too much!

    Many hugs!
    Shanna

wow! I am not sure that I could do a triathalon!
Good for you for setting such a tremendous goal. I could maybe make the swim and definitely the bike but tore my achilles a couple years back so running is not great. I did a bi-athlon a couple years back which was just run/bike and had fun! Train slow and allow your body to rest and recouperate. It took almost 6 months before I had enough energy to start riding andn now it is my therapy. I almost get cranky if I don't get to ride when the day is beautiful!
    Hugs friend!
