Is it back?
My husband was diagnosed with stage 3A lung cancer in September 2007. Because the cancer was in his lymph nodes and some surrounding tissue they would not do a resection. They gave him 15-18 months, he then went into remission. Fast forward to September 2011 and he is now experiencing the same type of problems he had in…

"All we are is dust in the wind"
(Kansas reference) I chose this reference because my friend, my dear friend, stayingcalm (Deb) was an affirmed agnostic and would have probably preferred this to the title of my initial entry in the forums, Donne's rather religious "Death be not proud". Yes, CSN lost a wonderful personality this past weekend, and I lost,…

I know you've all heard of Crizotinib by now - also known as PF1066, and now known as Xalkori as it is released by Pfizer for use in the general population, yayy! I'll be reminding my doc that he said I could do well on this drug despite not having the ALK mutation, since Tarceva worked so well for me (even though I didn't…

Brand-spanking new to all this. Lots more questions right now than answers, for sure.
Hi, Everyone: Because I work for a radiology clinic, I sort of came in through the back door three weeks ago. Had a chest x-ray and then a CT -- showing malignant-appearing tumor left upper lobe, smack dab between the aorta and pulmonary artery (therefore, probably non-surgical, and definitely not able to be needle…

My mom has had her first Alimta treatment last Thursday and the side effects are horrible for her. Extreme diarrhea and weakness. I talked to her last night and she sounds awful.
