We got some promising news today....
I posted earlier that Jason's surgery didn't go well yesterday, the tumor was even larger than the surgeon thought & he didn't feel it would be safe to try & remove it at this time due to the proximity the tumor is to major vessels, arteries, etc. So, there was mention of doing chemo. Well, we got a visit from one of the…

Maintenance Chemo - Extended Break
The basic question today is: Has anyone experienced having their "Xeloda break extended to two weeks?" By way of background, I was on Xeloda 1000mg twice a day for two weeks with a one week break, which I have read is a pretty standard regimen for Xeloda. It is even the regimen recommended by the company. During the second…

How much does stress contribute to the onset of cancer?
So yesterday my husband and I were talking about the latest cancer hoax to come down the pike (the Notre Dame football player with the "girlfriend" who died of cancer right before the big game), and the following was said: Me: Yeah, when someone's story is full of drama, especially involving cancer, you really have to be…

Difficult Decision
I have reached my limit on treatment options and basically will need to make a choice to find a trial or stop treatment. I go for a CT scan on Monday and meet back with the doctor on Tuesday. I don't know if I really care anything about doing a trial to gain a couple of months, possibly being sick during this time. I am…

Flaxseed Oil....
This is a site that was sent to me by a good friend of mine. The man (Mr. Beckwith) was my friends grandfather, so that made me much more apt to believe what is being said. So, I thought I'd share it with everyone on here & you can use your own judgment, but you better believe I'll be buying some Flaxseed Oil!…

chemoembolization???
Can any of you explain to me the difference between chemoembolization and the HAI or are they the same thing?? I just havent heard any of you refer to it as chemoembolization. And do you have any idea why the radiologist comparing new ct scan to older one would make the assumption that the patient has had chemoembolization…

Foot pain
While I was in the hospital my roomie kept discussing her foot pain. She is convinced that foot pain in the heel out outside part of the foot up to the toe is a sign of colon problems. We found it very coincidental that both of us had severe footpain at some point just before diagnosis (I had off and on foot pain for three…
