throw my food up, etc etc. And all he ever did was cluck-cluck and hope that pesky cough cleared itself up. OMG So tomorrow my new-improved ONcologist has ordered a coagulation test for me in the morning, and Wednesday I will have my lung aspirated again, which should make me feel instantly better!!!!! The damned beast has also decided to show up again on my liver, a few underarm nodes, and under my clavicle. Rather than jumping right to chemo, aside from Zometa, I wiil be starting Faslodex injections. I honestly feel I have been pro-active ~ but I also feel my Non-cologist threw me under a bus~ and it isn't the Pink Party Bus, unfortunately. I have my GRRRRRR on and am ready to do batttle~I know I have to stop thinking about what the other Dr didn't do, and be hopeful, brave, and thankful that I have a new doctor!

I'm so sorry you were under the "care" of a doctor who obviously doesn't care. I'm not a doctor, but even I was concerned about that cough. You keep your GRRRRRRR on and win this battle. We are with you every step of the way!

Sorry, Chen, to hear your news. Seems like some days aren't worth getting up for but tomorrow is another day, and with your new doc taking charge, you should feel better soon. I found out the hard way too that at least 2 of my dr's dropped the ball and prescribed medication that was harmful to my asthma situation. This went on for a whole year and I was so fatigued and having breathing problems. I caught the problem myself or I'd still be struggling. I know you're a pro-active woman and that will always be in your favor. Take care and know that so many are with you now during this difficult time. Love and hugs to you.0 -

Oh man... I am so sorry Claudia. The angry beast doesn't know how to handle such a kind soul, so you have the upper edge on it. We should all buy a voodoo doll that we can stick pins into every time one of our kindreds has issues with doctors. Your Noncologist leaves me wondering why, why, why? Thank god you are in great hands now and I too will put my pink gloves on for you girl. This is going to be one hell of a battle and there will be pink splattered all over the place. And I hate this for you Claudia!!!!!! This just sucks...pardon my French....I am angry the oncologist dismissed your cough...even a GP would have addressed this sooner! Another reason we all MUST be our own best advocate and not be intimidated by someone just because they have MD after their name....I worked for a doctor for years....they put their pants on the same way we do! I've, at times, have almost been a biotch when dealing with doctors...my standard retort to them is....."this maybe routine to you, but it's not for me....this is MY life, the only one I have!" it does get their attention!
I have posted that my BC has recurred on my clavicle and other nodes, since your's is there also, I wonder if this is a fairly "common" site of recurrence? A few others have posted about a recurrence there also...plus I had clean nodes 2 years ago....My RO was shocked it came back in my lymph nodes...
Claudia the clinical trial I am in with the drug TESETAXEL is also in trial for lung and colon cancer....don't know if your oncologist would want to investigate this for you...

it might actually be worthwhile to spend a little bit of time being mad at your former doctor -- those are very real authentic feelings that need to be felt in order to move on. And then, yes, do go with your grrrrrr.

I am thrilled that you had the foresight to move forward and move on with a new Specialist, who sounds like he does care .. Our journey's vary, but there is no EXCUSE .. no to be treated for any lingering cough, side effort or fever. If any professional doctor shows a lack of investigative response, and lack of professional commitment, or brushes any of one off ... it time to change doctors .. -- I am delighted and elated that you 'dumped' NON cologist, and his assss.
You are a pillar of strength, and light to many of us. .. you eat well, exercise -- treat your body as a 'Temple'. You will arm yourself with what is needed for the next battle.

I would be soooooooo angry at your former onc too! Thank goodness your new onc will get things going in the right direction. You are a fighter and we are all behind you 100%. I'm sorry it took so long for a definitive diagnosis and that it has spread to other areas too. Hope the new meds work. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Get better, my friend. I'm still reeling from the news about Meena.

I can only say that I am so sorry for all of this. The noncologist, the lungs, the cough. I would be agnry also. This is all time that you could have addressed treatments etc that this fool made you lose. Uncle Guido would be too fast, too kind. Whatever happens to him must be slow (as show as he was), painful and permanent. My prayers are so there for you.
