Went to the mall today with a friend. While standing in line for a latte this man kept looking at me with an almost angry look on his face. As I started to walk away I heard him say underneath his breath, " Stupid lesbo you aren't a man."

WELL...I turned around and let him have it. I told him stupid man I know I am not a man. I had breast cancer and after 8 rounds of chemo and a double mastectomy this is what you look like! And I yanked my shirt open and let him see my incisions.

You could of heard a pin drop as we walked over to a table and sat down. Then people started clapping. I almost felt sorry for the guy.

    I'm so proud you had the presence of mind in that situation to let that #$%*&ing &*#$%head have it -- you shouldn't have to educate people when you're just trying to enjoy a latte at the mall, but I'll bet you taught an important lesson to everyone there, not just him.

    Obviously he isn't a man neither. I know that had to some what hurt your feelings. I remember when a man ask me, " sir can I help you." He quickly apologized when he realized his mistake, but it hurt a little.

    I read your note and I felt a sense of pride - you weren't just sticking up for you, you were sticking up for all of us who go through this and without choice, have to deal with it being a "public" disease. I am comfortable around my family and my "inside" world but you never know what you will receive from the outside world. Bless you for setting this biased, obnoxious jerk straight - I bet he'll think 20 times before he pulls something like this again!
