Oops, this whole week sucked!!

Since i previously posted that everything seemed ok with the new chemo treatment, I want to take it back. The whole entire week was terrible, I do not know how you ladies can handle the carbo/taxatere combo. I was nauseas and had the big D all week. The pain was awful from the neulasta shot (but this was warned because i have bone mets in my spine), I sob every night. I have been taking oxycotin and oxycodone for the pain, but still have an uncontrollable headache. Plus, i am starving!!! Everything i have eaten in the last year is now in some sewage dump! Also had a gusher of a nose bleed last nite. But anyway, got up to go to target today, got sick along the way and had to come home. Ended up going to Walmart (closer), bought lots of fun things! Plus, did you know that Ashton Kutcher cheated on Demi! This is true, read it in a STAR magazine, i cannot believe it, i really never liked Demi, she is so snitty. Oh, and there is so much going on, i bought 2 magazines and there is some dirt in them. Also, coming up with a new game plan for me after this chemo is over. Take care,

    Aww my sister I'm sorry you're feeling so crappy & sick....sending hugs your way...i had chemo yesterday, lucky me I got 3 new magazines in yesterday's mail so Im sitting on the couch flipping through them..I hope you get to feeling better, and soon!

    I am so sorry that you are having a rough time on the new chemo. But I am glad that you at least made it to Wallie World so that you can keep current...lol. My only advice is that if you continue to have a rough time, talk with your chemo nurses. They were the ones who saved me during chemo by suggesting a daily dose of meds that got me through it. My oncologist was not as big a help with managing side effects as the nurses were.

    Meena Im sorry about horrible SE of treatment. Are u going to continue even w SE? Immodium for the big D? E-mend for nausea? Guess it's good u have an appitite. Stay close to the potty. Sorry u had to go to walmart. I cant stand walmart. Hugs to you that you'll feel better. Katz

    I looked at the thread title and thought "oh, no!" I read what has been happening and I thought "poor Meena!" Then I got to the part about Walmart, and the Star, and Ashton cheating on Demi, and I busted out laughing.

    Dearest Meena, it might look like the Beast may win a skirmish with you from time to time. But posts like your last one just prove to me that it will never win the war.

    I started reading your post and my first reaction was oh no! I'm so sorry you're feeling awful and are suffering from side effects. I too lean towards the D but Immodium has helped. Despite all you're going through you still ventured out of the house and low and behold the rag trade caught your eye. You have such a positive spirit. Keep it up! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as you struggle with these chemo treatments.

    Lousy week! Just can't get over the hump. I have a hugh hemorrhoid...ouch. So weak and scared to take pain pills because of constipation. Is the t and c combo with Neulasta inj always this fun? We can do this right? Thanks for sharing!

    Huskymac, do not be afraid of pain pills. There are pills and foods to remedy the constipation, and you may still get the big D. This was my first episode with t&c and neulasta, and yes i believe it will always be this fun! But, we can do it. And just think of the HUGE hemorrhoid that Ashton is going to have, hahahaha. Would not want to have to put creme on that. Demi is going to kick his behind. By the way, it was STAR magazine, and they are promising even juicier details in next weeks mag.

    Never ever give up...I saw your post a short time after I posted my thread God Sends Us An Angel...the most important thing is you will have ups and downs...but you will feel better. You will get to know when in your chemo cycle is a good day coming and one that you won't feel as good...if you are feeling really down and shaky it could be a change in your blood counts or you may want to drink more water...but God loves you and will listen...Looking forward to your contributions to our thread You know You're a Survivor When...you haven't lost your humor...love, Shy

    Oh crap!!!! I mean that in more ways then one. I used benefiber and immodium, the big D was my big problem.
    There is prescription lidocaine cream for the hemmorrhoid, make sure the doc checks as what I though was a hemmorrhoid was a fissure!
    Meena I keep hoping this gets easier, hopefully they can give you something to help the symptoms. glad you got your mags!

    Sorry for such a crappy week. We can only hope and believe it will get better. Hope your symptoms subside--but I love your great sense of humor. Never lose that!

    I am really sorry about it. Meena, yes it is not fun this combo. I had 6 cycles. Please take nausea medication before you got noxious. I took it on regular basis and was ok for the first4 rounds. Tylenol did help with Neulasta shout. Please relax, watch funny movies and try to take pleasure in simple things. Try to walk too. Wishing you to feel better soon.
