I'm Emily, I'm 31, I live in
I'm Emily, I'm 31, I live in southern Oklahoma, and I'm a party crasher haha See, breast cancer runs *very* prevelantly in my family; but I didn't have breast cancer, I had a soft tissue sarcoma. But, it's a little more rare, and was hard to find folks to talk to who've had surgery and chemo for it instead of just surgery and/or rads. So, since 'red devil' is typically a breast cancer chemo drug, I hopped on here to find out more and ask questions. Then you ladies were all so nice and so fun all the time that I found myself unable to leave... I found myself 'adopted' into this sisterhood so-to-speak. Or converted into your cult... however you wanna look at it. haha, juuuuust kidding.
And I have two black labs, a mini dachsund, and a *wonderful* husband. And I'm a park ranger.0 -

miles south of Port Huron on the St. Clair River which connects Lake Huron to Lake St. Clair.
I was dx with Stage 2A TNBC in 7-09 and had a simple, single mastectomy and chemo. Hair is about 3" at the longest part and almost 1" at the shortest..would be nice if it all grew in at the same time but I'll take it any way it wants to grow.
Been with my husband 39 years and we have 8 kitties...all rescues. We are both on the Board of Dir of the Blue Water Area Humane Soc. and I spend 25 hrs. weekly doing fundraising, clerical work etc. It's the best non-paying (or paying) job I've ever had! I also enjoy going to the 8 casino's in our immediate area and some further away. In fact, until I got too sick, we would go the day before my chemo and it would really take my mind off of it. Of course we are boaters and love the water.
And of course, love all my buds in pink here...truly.

My name is Donna aka the
My name is Donna aka the Cancer Sheriff. I turned 61 on Aug 2. I only have 13 more work days. I am retiring on Sep 1, after 37 years working for the government as a civilian employee. I live in Homestaed, FL., the place Hurricane Andrew nearly blew off the map in 92. I am having a blast at work tormenting them all. Every day I go in and tell them how many days I have left to work. They keep telling me I can't retire and I just laugh at them and say Ha, just watch me.
Hugs

Go TERPS!
Hi - I'm Pat, been here for a while. I was born and raised in Queens, NY, but now live in Laurel, MD, somewhere between Mimivac and Jean 0609. I work for a government contractor right across the street from the New Carrollton Metro, next to the IRS building. I was 59 when I was diagnosed in 2008 (Stage 1, triple neg). Had a lumpectomy, 6 rounds of carboplaten/taxotere and 36 hits with the radiation machine. I have been out of treatment for a little over a year and will celebrate my 2 year Cancerversary at the end of September. I don't hit the site as much as I used to, but enjoy coming back and catching up with everyone and meetng the newbies. Fight On Pink Warriors!!
