Hi everyone! Just thought I would introduce myself to you. My name is Sue and I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. I had my radiation treatment simulation last Friday and got my tiny tattoos. So, I have my first radiation treatment tomorrow. I am not afraid as I feel really good about my radiation oncologist and the radiation tech's all seemed very nice, very caring, very supportive. The room was cold and they even put a warm blanket on me. Well, hope to get to know all of you and maybe I can help someone with my experience.

    Hi and Welcome
Hey Sue! Welcome to the boards. I am glad that you found us, though sorry it is because of bc. There are lots here that have gone thru radiation and will help you, including me. Did you have a lumpectomy or a mastectomy? Post and let us know how your first day goes.

Sue, glad you found us. You
Sue, glad you found us. You will get a lot of support and encouragement here! Rads are totally doable. I am glad that you are not afraid at all because you shouldn't be. Just use the creams they give you from the start and get lots of rest and protect your skin. Be gentle with it. Most of us absolutely loved our techs and rads oncologist. Sounds like you will too. You could even post a diary of it on here to inform others.

Tomorrow will start your countdown! You are going in with a great attitude. It's usually the fear of the unknown that gets us, but you seem well prepared. Post and let us know how it went. Pammy
