I am getting confused. I read all the posts and I was told there was no remission for my Stage IV colon cancer with mets to the liver. After a year the tumors have shrunk and are stable. I am now on chemo every three weeks after 15 sessions. I also had the colon surgery ASAP last year. Any comments? Also, I may be ignorant, but what does NED mean?0

NED = No evidence of disease. There is remission for stage IV folks if CT and/or PET scans indicate NED. I hope your tumors will vacate soon so you can be restaged NED.apache4 said:I am getting confused. By the way - welcome to the SemiColons! Sorry about your tough time with your cancer, but I'm glad you found us. I have a strong feeling that you will give and receive much encouragement and inspiration here.0 -

I consider myself a stage IV survivor even though I'm not NED.
Diagnosed stage IV w/ liver and lung mets Aug. 2007.
Treatments: Folfox w/ Avastin, radiation, liver resection, Folfiri w/Avastin two years in a row following recurrences, and currently taking interferon and lovastatin & am awaiting results of this treatment (scan Feb. 12).
