I just had my CT scan and the result was no evidence of metastatic breast cancer. It’s good news and I have My Lord Jesus Christ to thank and all the people around me that encouraged me and supported me including all of those on this site. It’s been 2 years since it came back! After 9 years of being cancer free after the initial diagnosis.
But at the back of my head there’s a voice ( of doom) that says well it can return anytime. I was devastated when it came back as I was doing well and was confident it was all over and put all the cancer and treatment etc behind me and looked forward to a normal life!
How wrong that turned out to be!
So now the fear looms it ugly head and I’m reluctant to tell anyone around me as I don’t want to upset them but I know this is the place where I can voice my fears and not be judged.
I keep busy and don’t allow myself time to dwell on it too much. I pray and try to leave it in God’s hands but occasionally the fear creeps up on me.

Survivorship
When do you start counting your suvivorship? Is it the date you were told you had cancer or the date of the surgery or when you are finished with all treatments?
