Roll Call Anyone?
Hi All,
We don't have much activity on this board these days, and it appears that over half of the members who do post are visitors from the uterine board.
Who do we have here, who received an ovarian cancer diagnosis?
I was diagnosed 2009 stage 3c, very aggressive. Suboptimal debulking. NED since 2010.

I'm here on behalf of someone
I'm here on behalf of someone with recurrent Ovarian, although she's had a complete historectomy first turm around and the cancer has now spread to other organs (liver, colon stomach lining, and lung). This board is very relevant to me. I'm not sure what other active and relevant board there are out there.

The person you are supporting is lucky to have you. Sorry she is struggling.
Your area may have a Gilda's Club or other cancer support group for patients, families and friends. There is an ovarian cancer support group online called Inspire. Facebook also has a couple of ovarian cancer support pages.
Good luck to you both.

Roll Call
My wife is BRACA-2 posititive. She was first diagnosed in April of 2012 with PPC. Then they changed it to Ovarian. And now they are saying it started in the Fallopian Tubes. Then in 2014. She was diagnosed with TNBC in the right breast. In January of 2018, she had a reoccurrence of both the Ovarian and the TNBC(left breast) at the same time. Buy September she was NED again and taking the PARP inhibitor ZEJULA. Two months later her blood counts crashed, and she was taken off of the ZEJULA. One month later her CBC's were still low. They ran more blood tests, and did a bone marrow biopsy. When the results came back. They said that because of all the platin and Cytoxan chemo treatments. It has caused her to get MDS/ AML. So now she is being treated for this one at Stanford University. She has gone to war twice with the ovarian and breast cancers, and came out on top. But we've already been told that she will not beat this one.

New member here
i just became a member but I’ve been reading this board for a year. I have stage IV ovarian, diagnoses a year ago. Chemo and surgery and now I’m NED - today anyway. I have a doctor who is a realist and never lets me think that I am cured lol. But today I am NED. I get thru the days by realizing we are ‘terminal’ the day we are born. When I saw the post for Roll Call I made an account. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has been reading posts.

Chuck, I am so sorry to hear what your wife and you have been going through. No one fights alone, and she is certainly lucky to have someone who loves her at her side. My prayers are for you and your wife.

Hello
I was my sister's caretaker along with her husband as she fought ovc. Unfortunately after 14 months she passed away from ovc at the age of 46. I am determined to help spread awareness and also offer support where I can. I also want to learn as much about this disease as I can for the other women in my family. That is why I am here. Thanks to all of you for all your insight and wisdom.
