Different Kind of Check in!
Ok ladies, I have been searching for several members here and other boards lately. Different people have mentioned others that I had over-looked. Karen, Kathy, and Kelly over at the Ovarian board have thought having a check in for EVERYONE! Not a staging thing or dx, ect., just an "I'm here" thing. And besides yourself, add anyone you know that use to post, but for reasons, they have stoped. All you ladies that check in, just give us a hi! Thanks, and I'm Debra(Jo), and I'm HERE!

Hi, I'm Barb and I'm still here!
Hi, I'm Joanne and I had UPSC Stage lll. C3. SURGERY,18 chemos (weekly), brachattherapy (4). Finished treatment Feb. 2014. I see my gyn Inc in a couple of weeks but doing great. I will get to go to six months checkups. I know the statistics but have every intention of living another twenty years or more. I just turned 70. My lasting chemo gift is neuropathy in my feet and a bladder that will never be quite the same. Chemo was the toughest thing I've ever done but we survive because we're strong women. My husband was diagnosed one month before Mr (5/2013) with bilateral kidney cancer and my daughter at 43 with breast cancer 12/2014. We've been through He'll . But emerge strong. I admire all the women posting here. I don't post often but follow regularly. Stay stron!

Hello to everyone! This is
Hello to everyone! This is so great! I'm beside myself with JOY to see the ones I have over-looked checking in(I'm claiming chemo brain instead of old age! LOL!).
Yes, we are tough and getting tougher! I looked back on some of my post and wonder "Who the Heck is this person?". I sound like a two year old without the night light! Thank God for this group and thank you dear Linda P.! I'd hate to think where I'd be if not for her and you all! Debrajo0 -

Checking In
2009 Dx of both grade 2 and grade 3 (UPSC) endometrial cancers following TAH/BSO and several labs reviewing my slides. Stage 1. I had 6 rounds of Carbo/Taxol and 3 rounds of brachytherapy. I worked half time and (in a successful attempt to stay healthy) went in the evening after everyone else had left for the day. Chemo brain really made work hard for me. I had never heard of it and felt like Alice falling down the rabbit hole. Peripheral neuropathy actually became worse following treatment but resolved about a year later. In 2014 I had a bowel resection after a colo-vaginal fistula developed. I had a temporary ileostomy while the remaining bowel healed. I also had my huge post-hysterectomy hernia repaired. I had an ileostomy reversal for Christmas 2014. This past Thanksgiving I had a repair of an incarcerated intestine at the same location as the repaired ileostomy. I am hoping for no further surgeries!
I continue to read the uterine, gynecological, and ovarian cancer boards. I have a PAP and a CA 125 test every year, and I remain NED. I deeply miss the lovely women who are no longer with us. I wish good health and lots of happy times to all of you!

I'm here!
So glad to say I am here and healthy. I also so admire and miss Linda P, Ro and others who have so valiantly fought our common enemy. There bravery and compassion have been so inspiring. Reading their stories and posts helped me so much when I was at my lowest. And my thanks to all the ladies here today who continue their tradition!

Still present (for what it's worth) :-)
I don't write often, but read posts almost every day. This month I will be one year NED as chemo was over last January. I was stage 1A, grade 3 with UPSC in a polyp. I also wondered where some of the old posters were. Thanks for the thread.
