Bummer, Stomp. But only a bit
Bummer, Stomp. But only a bit bigger, right? That's good - we always grab onto the good and focus on that! How do you feel, day to day? Can you get around and do what you want to do? In any pain? Here's hoping Inlyta does the trick. Do you have any activity or trips planned? Looking ahead to doing something pleasant & fun keeps me from dwelling too much on my RCC situation. It's a good strategy. That and going outdoors in the sun - in your case, sipping an ice-cold beer in the sunshine!

Sometimes it takes a few tries to find what works. Keep the faith. They will take care of you.

And I'm following your trail. What could go wrong? Sometimes it just makes me angry. And then I get up the next day and get on with it. I will however own my anger.

I do not know what Inlyta is doing to the cancer but its kicking my butt. Diarrhea (but not as violent as Sutent) and constant nausea are doing my brian in. I'm hoping the oncologist has got some solutions.
If anyone has any ideas, let me know

There are several prescription drugs for nausea. Are you taking any?

Thank you Footstomper (and JoJo).
I have no doubt your onc can suggest some drugs that should help.
JoJo - my next CT-scan is this Thursday. For the pain and discomfort I have been experiencing I switched to Fentanyl 3-day patch. It works great the first day (today) but, for me at least, it wears off before the 72 hours is up. Very frustrating. When it wears off I become extremely fatigued.
Best wishes,
-Neil

Good luck. And Good luck with the pain management. I confess that when I was in hospital with the IL2 treatment I really came to appreciate morphine. Ill never forget the nurse who had just got back from Afghanistan (and needed some civilian experience or qualification - I dont know what). He introduced himself by asking my pain leveland saying "Oh, if you say five or more you can have morphine" Definately 6 then.
And all the pain goes away

The nausea makes me a somewhat less than happy bunny. Hopefully the zoloft will deal with that! A nauseus, short tempered teacher and a room full of self righteous 10th grade homone monsters does not a happy combination make.

So glad the Dr. could provide you with a medicine that will help take that nausea away. Hope you feel much better Footstomper, you are one of the braves ones and your sense of humor is a blessing that helps so very much to chase away the fears and the sad long faces!
Do I remember correctly you mentioned being a scotsman? My mom's dad was from Scotland so I too must have a little of that scottish blood running in my veins. Cheers!
