Thank you Jen
I don't have good news. My heart is broken. I read here but have not been able to post or respond because I just have not had the words. I still don't. I am thankful to you for not forgetting about me and my daughter, my only child. I am devastated. Here is why.
Her obituary:
http://www.meaningfulfunerals.net/fh/obituaries/obituary.cfm?o_id=2665940&fh_id=11706
Her interview with Suzanne Lindley of YES! Beat Liver Tumors:
http://johnbrunedigital.com/melanie.html
Her memorial video made by John Brune, videographer for Beat Liver Tumors. Melanie participated in fashion week in NYC as a survivor model at a fundraiser for YES! and at Night of 100 Stars Oscar gala in L.A. with YES! These events were magical escapes for her during her journey through stage IV CC.
Again, thank you. I am sorry for not being able to participate and offer my support here.

Oh Sandy...I am so so sorry. It's heartbreaking and so unfair. Her obituary is beautifully written. I can't imagine how difficult the last couple of years have been for you. Take comfort in that sweet grandson.
My heart is breaking for you. I can truly say I know what you are feeling after I lost my Debbie on July 27. It is gut wrenching and unbelievable to know that our beautiful girls are gone. No mother should have to watch the demise of their child.
I read, but don't post often. I am not a good support person right now to so many with hope.
Love,
Karen

Jen and Karen, thank you for your support. Karen, I am so sorry I wasn't on here supporting you. I just could have not been able to come to the boards - this one and Colon Club - since things started to go downhill for us. I am so sorry about Debbie and I know you know exactly how I feel. I wish we could get together or something. I just don't want to talk to anybody and don't even want to answer the phone. Our girls could not catch a break. I am bitter and angry and devastated. I have nothing upbeat to offer anybody. I probably need to continue my hiatus from the boards. I wish everybody well who is fighting this damn disease and those who have put it behind them. I've lost my only child, you've lost your only daughter. We will never get over it.

Sandy, my heart hurts for you and for those you love. Your lovely daughter's beautiful 'little guy' will need you to tell him what an incredible a mom he had. Life isn't fair. Please know that even though I don't have the words, you are in my heart and prayer.
Whether you come on the boards or not, you are held and remembered.
i am so sorry.

Just crying, just watched her video. So awful, 35 years old and a 3 year old baby. I just can't imagine.

Your story was one of several that gave us so much hope when this all started and I appreciate that. Keep on kicking this diseases butt. You have my support, even if I am not a regular presence here. Thank you for your support and condolences.

Yes, it is so unfair. Her husband wrote the obituary. I thought it was beautiful, too. Their son is who keeps us all going. I can't imagine where we would be right now if we didn't have him. Thank you for the support.

I am hoping for that, too. It's just so unbelievably hard. I am so sorry about your husband. We fought valiantly as well. Everybody does. Just such a ruthless disease.
