Once again I just want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers as I move forward with this. My 40 anniversary is next week and I don’t want anything to spoil it, my children and I are planning to all meet at a Camp up on Toledo Bend and surprised my Wife with a little party. Anyway check the hole this morning and it is now the size of a quarter. I was told that Honey might work, raw honey, we never think about it but God did put the simple things of nature here to help us. Oh well I am giving it a try and will let you all know how the honey does, it is better than doing nothing and with a little prayer all things are possible.

tim, 40 yrs is remarkable!  congrats to your and your wife.  i hope the party is great and you and your family make some wonderful memories.  still praying for the hole to get better or at least no bigger.  happy anniversary, friend.

Got a call from my ENT she is sending me to see a Doc at LSU in Baton Rouge on the 27^th. If she can’t help I am not sure what I can do, I check this morning and the hole is now the size of a quarter. There is very little of the skin left holding up the Uvula and the pain from it is worse.

I always knew I was a holy man but just did not know it was this holy. Sometimes all we can do it to laugh and try to make the best out of it. This I do know, that what every comes out of this my Father God will give me the strength and grace to go through it.

Tim your outlook and strenght is just an insperation. Sometimes you need to laugh so you can deal with it, but you seem to always have such a great attitude and always help everyone. You know you are in my prayers that it gets stoped VERY SOON.

manuka high grade honey is suppose to be a good alternative. I used it to rinse my mouth at the beginning of rads and never got sores. I got +24 grade. 

Definately praying for you as always. I pray that the answers are forthcoming soon and that the iodine helps halt the growth. Sounds to me like they need to get you to a specialist ASAP and her vacation was ill timed. She could of had someone step in to recommend the NO doctor before she left.

Praying that God heals you and gives the doctors the wisdom to help you recover.

Hondo well spoken.  I often wonder how others in our condition go thru all this without belief and reliance on God.  I hear many of my non-believers friends say well where is your god and if he loves you so much why does he let you suffer.  I always gently remind them that god makes it rain on the christian as well as non-christian.  This earth is not our reward and I'm just thankful that as I go thru each step of life with cancer I put all my trust in him.  Not trust he will heal me but trust he will walk the walk with me.  

i had scc 3 years ago, segmented mandilbectomy, fibula free flap, neck dissection, removal of all my teeth and 6 weeks radiation and while my cancer has not returned I have ORN from the radiation which has killed my new jaw bone (fibula) as well as necrosis of more of mandible.  Just found out last week I'll be going thru exact same surgery again.  They will take my other fibula and make new jaw bone again.  Trach, feeding tube, drains etc and I'm so thankful to have god by my side.

Hondo, keep the faith and see it thru as best you can.  Much prayer coming your way

One day at a time. When you visit the Doc and you have them scratching their head, shows your unique. Battle on, thoughts and prayers your way.

 I don't come here as often as I used to, but I think of you often. When my dad was diagnosed back in 2009 you, Skiffin, and Sweetblood (and others) were such  sources of encouragement. I appreciate that more than you could possibly know. This may sound strange but when my dad passed, the hope that I had for him to survive transfered to you and all the others fighting this horrible disease and all it's effects - and the caregivers who love you all so much.  God used you to keep me afloat in that awful time and I'd like to say "thank you". You are in my thoughts and prayers. Happy Anniversary to you and and the Mrs.!
