The Thinking of Craig post!
Didn't want you to think we forgot about you Craig! I think of you all the time but don't want to bother you looking for updates, so I just wanted to say hi, let you know that you are always in my thoughts and prayers and I look forward to seeing you post more when you feel up to it.
Hugs to you and your wife.

I got a short PM from our "bud" yesterday in response to one I sent him a couple of weeks ago. Not specific about his issues, just that he is doing one day at a time. I could just tell he's not up to par.
Craig, we love you and are patiently waiting for the lion to roar once again.
Luv,
Wolfen

Me too!
I was thinking of posting something about Craig too! I know some people here are friends with his wife on FB so maybe they know more. I miss Craig's insight and status updates.
Hoping day to day you are managing and getting a little better each day.

JEN:)
And I was just thinking that I was just "Yesterday's News..."
Thanks for the reminder that I'm not......not here anyway.....that's good news.
I've written a post in my head....perhaps I'll try and transcribe over the next week or two to go over everything. I've been fighting quietly and mothodically, but it's really a pretty good story these past 9-months.
I"m recovering from my 2nd nerve block procedure.....takes a month before it even takes any kind of effect. And even then.....
Still maybe I can put something together......some of it is quite interesting and might be good for the group.
And greetings new folks....my tumor pain is keeping me pretty handicapped most days, but wanted to wish you all the best of luck.

Dear Dan
You might be right. I'm investigating another type of brand new nerve block procedure. It has not been tested on humans and has not passed FDA certification yet. It has only been tested on animals, dogs I think. They had great success and were able to go from sitting to walking around in a short time. So, there may be finally be some hope.
This is a clinical trial with 3 current applicants right now. I'm being checked to see if I would be a successful candidate. Most procedures are sucessful below the waist. I showed him where my pain was and said maybe it might work out. I'm waiting to hear back from them. It's a little daunting but this pain may push me to this. Supposedly, it permamently kills the nerves and medication may no longer be required either.
What a blessing to possibly be able to walk away from this pain and live pain medication free after almost a year of unrelenting pain that has pushed me to corners I don't want to visit just yet. So, it may be time to take a risk - a risk for me - but it may help someone else.
Florida would still be great! Kim and I have been nowhere by ourselves in a long time......we'd still like to go back to Disneyworld - even by ourselves just alone. Would be good medicine. I'll let you know.
Thanks for posting.

Nerve blocks, I need info!
Hi Craig,
I am a lurker here, mostly, and am scheduled for a TAP nerve block this coming week. It doesn't sound durable, though, so I may have to work with my pain mgmt docs to find something else. I, too, have had pain for a year, varying from moderate to severe, and it is getting very old indeed. Can you point me in some directions for info on the types of blocks you have had? Any info is MUCH appreciated. As a fellow pain warrior, I am sorry for your travails!

I do hope you can give us a longer post. You have a lot of friends here who would be so happy to hear from you!
And I really hope too that the new nerve block will be an effective option for you...I know that constant pain just really wears you out.
Big hugs coming your way!
