    newbie :)

Johnson City TN Laryngeal cancer stage III Diagnosised June 2013, 37rads/3chemos Clear petscan in November 2013. It's only been 4 months since treatment ended. Only side effect now is larynx is still very swollen from the radiation so that I must have a trache for breathing. Haven't been able to speak since June but a little above a whisper now.  Also some edema on the neck (turkey neck) but have notice it already has shrunk down some.

    Roll call

Diagnosed with cancer in the right Tonsil on April 1st 2013, had tonsillectomy, 7 chemo (Erbitux) and 34 radiations that finished on 6/11/13.   I've had one clean PETScan and right before Christmas I got the results on my CatScan (NED) and getting back to my new normal.   Just dealing with the recurring Thrush and a few side effects from radiation but other than that doing great!

Here's to a very Happy and very Healthy 2014!

    keeping upbeat

Sore throat for 8 years, but not dx until Oct 2013 (When I called a specialist on my own). . Have Squamous cell cancer on my right tonsil, stage 4, two lymph nodes involved.

Undergoing rad and chemo, about halfway through treatment (can't wait for it to be over!).  Bad side effects from Rad, tongue in great pain, having difficulty swallowing and cannot eat much.  Will be talking to doc about that today.

But other than that, doing OK, even Good some days.
